The GREAT life!

I guess you know the fence is finished so now we have a big backyard to move around in, mom lets me inside to nap, since I'm old I take LOTS of naps:). Ahh, good to be me!

Mom got a new puppy, she has given the training to Rebadingdong, I don't see this going too well, but atleast Rebadingdong leaves me alone. Since SiSi died in Jan, Rebadingdong has been my shadow, what a pest.

This new puppy already knows I'm the boss so she leaves me alone.

Today mom fed us stale bread, and expected me to let the puppy finish her piece. Really mom! That baby took to long, and that means 'finish it for me' in puppy language.

Living the good life...

Our fence is up, so we are super safe. Mom is on call to let me in whenever I want. Dad built me a ramp since the stairs are hard, but I'm still trying the stairs. I'll use the ramp when I can't use the stairs anymore. Reba keeps getting excited when we come in (like she's NEVER been inside before-what a goober) and has bumped me off the porch more than once. Once I landed in the water bucket, how embarrsing! And mom just laughed! No wonder I love dad the bestest, HE wouldn't laugh-atleast I don't think so.

I have a huge comforter for my bed in the big bedroom (thanks dad), and the door doesn't latch so I just give it a shove and go to bed anytime I want. Sometimes Reba sleeps with me, most the time not. She's too busy sucking up to the peeps. Silly girl! REAL dogs don't need to suck up. Ahhh, its good to be me. I told dad we could do without Reba, but he said she wasn't a threat and he loves her. Well, since I love dad, I guess she can stay. After all she HAS been here almost 4 years. And like dad said, she's no threat to my gettin attention!

Dad finished the fence today! No more little dog run, or chain, big safe fenced in yard to run and play!!! Dad I love you the mostest!!! You are the bestest!!!

Update on things

Monday, after a stray dog attack, in the chihuahua's pen, Si went to the rainbow bridge. We know Si is doing great now, and mom is doing much better. I'm making sure I give her lots of loving. Sisi was her favorite.

Because of the attack (and now Spunky is missing) , mom found a good home for Chico. I'm going to miss this guy, but I'm glad he is safe.

Reba and I are on 'high alert'. This ugly black dog is looking for food, and Reba fought him once (she is a food hog), and luckly broke her chain and got away. I, in my wisdom, let him eat it. Not worth the fight to me. Then came the Si attack. Now the missing cat. Mom is feeding us inside, but is worried about the rabbits.

Saturday, dad will be home, and the weather will be nice (cross your paws), and mom and dad will finish our tall wooden privacy fence. Then we, the cats, the rabbits, and Reba and I will be safe. Mom says she will worry til then.

Currently my job is to bark the BIG BASSET bark and aleart mom when ANYTHING comes in the back yard, so mom can come tell it to scat.

I'm so looking forward to Sat!!!

Here's my 7 things

1. I'm old and wise! Dad says so! I don't get upset about much, and I get special treatment because of it:) See? Wise!

2. I love that I'm housebroke! I get to come in at night and sleep in my own bed, in mom and dad's room, at night!!! (unlike Reba and Chico that have to sleep in the wash room:)

3. I HATE the camera!!! That 'click' drives me NUTS!!!

4. I love dad. I love him the mostest! We are bestest friends!! (he just might like me better than mom;)

5. I don't like cold weather, I do like the cool stuff though, just not cold. BBBBRRRR!

6. I used to get car sick, mom and dad are hoping to travel some later this year, and take me too, hope I can keep it together!!!

7. Reba knows I'm the 'boss', I let her think she's in control, but, if she pushes it too far, I give her the tooth and she backs down-I am the oldest after all!!

Old and WISE thats me!

Dad and teenboy are working on the fence!!! I'm tied out until its completed. I don't like it, but its safe and I can wait-unlike IdiotReba, whine whine cry cry cry whine whine whine, on and on! What a baby! I told her just wait, and very soon we will be running loose in the back yard like the wild canine we are, but no, its whine whine whine on and on and on-what a baby!

Yea dad! I knew you would fence in the big back yard for me! I knew you'd put ham juice on the doog foo just for me!! I know your the best! And like you said, I'm old and wise, that makes me the best too!!!!

WOW! A whole month!

We've been so busy, I haven't updated in a whole month! Can you believe its almost Christmas???

I loved Thanksgiving leftovers, and the fact dad insists I come in at night. The cooler weather has me feeling all young again, 'frisky' mom says.

Teenson is gonna work on the fence today (that should aready be up-but mom says we are not gonna gripe about that). Apparently teenboy has a speeding ticket he needs taken care of in exchange for the fence building. Mom says this is one of those 'life lessons' Dr Phil talks about.

I like Dr Phil, have you seen his new puppy? AND he says places like Dogster would be fun to visit! Yep, love the good Doc.

I hope yall had a groovy Thanksgiving, and (if I don't get back before then) an even GROOVY-IER Christmas and New Year!!!!!

Its a happenin!!!

Dad said with the price of fence going up, he wasn't so sure we were putting ours new one up, extending the back 'dog run' yard. But he found some old fence panels, and looks like the fence will be up in one month!! He and the humanbrothers are gone to get the posts and cement right now. They just brought home the old fence panels. Dad says we can use the old stuff now and gradually change old panels out for new ones! WOOO HOOO! AND we're going for a Sunday evening walk to the lake!! WOOHOOO-HOOO! AND dad is looking a making me a ramp to use till the real deck, stairs, ramp combo is built (after the fence). So it will be a temp one!! The stairs are steep and I'm old, AND my dad loves me! D-A-D he's the man for me!!!

walking the walk...

Mom, Dad, Reba, Chico and I went for a walk to the lake. Mom says we're going to start walking regularly. I walked with dad. He lets me wander, mom says dad 'gives too much leash', but thats between me and him. Sometimes mom makes no sense at all. Dad's been home every evening and I LOVE IT!!! Love my dad!!! (and mom too:)
