She is dangerous with that! Favorite Food: Watermelon Favorite Walk: Wherever Mommy takes her, Alex and Bobby Best Tricks: Stealthy stealing food Arrival Story: At 3 weeks old, she somehow found her way into the back of a dryer and into the fan while the dryer was running. Her nose and front left paw were cut up pretty badly. The vet she went to fixed her up and took care of her 24/7 for the next week. With her injuries and being so young, he thought that Buttons might be deaf and blind. The owner no longer wanted her, so he asked Dal-Savers to find her a home. At 4-1/2 weeks, weighing 3 pounds she was brought into rescue. Her nose had healed, except that her tear duct was severed. The large pad on her paw had not attached. A second surgery was done to re-attach the pad and it was successful. After the paw and burn on her leg healed, she started running and hasn't stopped since.
Buttons hears and sees very well and seems to not have any lingering effects, except for her breathing through her nose. As she grows, we are hoping that the opening will grow so that will improve. We adopted her on 5/19/08. Now she has a forever home with Dalmatian siblings. Bio: Buttons Guinness received her CGC ,(Canine Good Citizen), on June 23rd 2009. She is now enrolled in Pre-Novice obediance and Agility. 1. I like to lie on the ground with my legs out like a frog.
2. I was badly injured at 3 weeks from a dryer. My nose was cut and my paw badly burned. After I got better, I went to Dalmatian rescue and Mommy adopted me.
3. I have a big brother Alex who I love to wrestle with. I had a big sister Darla who passed away from lymphoma on 9/24/08. I also have an Equine sister Marti who is an AQHA registered Quarter Horse
4. I love to sleep up cuddled next to a human. I generally put my head on their neck and snooze.
5. I go to school at the Racine Kennel Club so I can learn to behave and hopefully get my Canine Good Citizen eventually.
6. I love to chew on knuckle bones when my big brother Alex tires of me chewing on him.
