Happy Birthday John-O and updates on my condition

Today is my human brother's 3 year old birthday. I wish I was feeling better to celebrate it with him.

I mainly lay around now. Mom doesn't think I'm getting worse but at a stand still with everything. The mucous in my eyes have seemed to clear up though. My nose is still mucousy and I still twitch... I still have a fever and I cry and whine in my sleep.

My feline brother Noel right now is giving me lovins. I'm hanging on... I WILL beat this!

Mom has put me on some Vitamin C. I'm still on my antibiotics and my eye that had been bothering me is doing all right.

We saw my canine sister's old vet yesterday. He seemed nice and told me I am going to have to fight this with my own immune system. I can do it!

I just wish I didn't feel so icky anymore... :(

I'm not feeling too well...

My eye has been bothering me for a few days. Mom had an appt at the vet clinic this afternoon but when she woke up both my eyes were full of mucous, I had a runny nose, and I was twitching.

She called the vet and they told her to bring me in right away. Which she did. They concluded I have distemper and got it more than likely from the shelter. Mom won't return me and the shelter went ahead and is refunding my mom her adoption fee to help pay for my medical expenses out of appreciation. She didn't even ask. Just to call and tell them what is going on with me.

Mom is crying. She is scared for me. I'm on meds and have to go back to the vet on Tuesday. They gave me a shot today too. I'm sleeping a lot and mom is being picky about keeping me indoors.

Still learning!!!

Yesterday I learned shake! A matter of fact the night before my mom tried to teach it to me, but we were getting no where. So she decided to put it off until the next day.

Yesterday we practiced "sit" and "lay down" a few more times and then moved onto shake. As mom tried to reach for my paw it finally hit me! She wants me to put my paw in her hand!!!! So I did!!! I learned "shake" really really fast and mom is so proud of me!!!

This morning my mom calls me a "toot"... I think she was a little upset with me when I knocked over the board between our house and the side of the fence (it's a little gap) and went into the front yard. She said I gave her a heart attack!

Then we came inside and my 3 yr old human brother was eating some wet soupy kibble! I thought he would like to share and it looked yummy! So I jumped on the table and shared it with him! Mom didn't like that too much and kept pulling me down and telling me no. But I just wanted some more and figured he wouldn't mind sharing his wet kibble.
