I went to the shelter to drop off donations and all the dogs were barking and jumping except this beautiful white shepherd. When I walked by her she stood on her hind legs with front paws on the kennel and looked me straight in the eye as if to say,"you need me" I dropped the donatins off and said,"I will take that white dog outside." She rode home in the back seat with her head on my shoulder all the way. The next mornig she came into the kitchen so quiet I didn't even hear her. When I turned to get my coffee there she was standing quietly and she licked my face. I have had many loving pets in my life but Monnie is somehow my soulmate. She knew I needed her as much as she needed me. She walks along side of me everywhere I go. Very smart,loving ,playful,quiet and protective as well.

Christmas Is Over But******

Christmas is now over and me had a wonderful Christmas wif lots of gifts and cards arriving daily in mommies mailbox. At first the mailman thought it was dumb but then as they kept pouring in he realized how fun it really was.
I got an ornament from my Snick, and it was da first ornanment hug on da tree an den Lexi got to hang hers up she got from Prince too. Mommy taked a picture of dem and oh dey look so pretty. But dis is da best part**Mommie sees me staring at my ornament late at nite when she knows I'm missing Snick an hims Mom is working or sleeping so we can't play but mommie said I could keep my ornament out even after da tree is taken down. She gonna hang it right on the front of my crate so me can see it as soon as I open my eyes in da morning and it be da last thing I see when I go Nite Nite. She a good Mommie Huh? She wuvs my Daddy alot too so she knows how I feel about Snick. An if ya read dis Snicky guess what? Mommie got a yellow Rose from Daddy yesterday wif a note dat says, Just for being "you". Him so sweet to her.

My Romantic Surprise From Snick

Snick came to me and asked me to close my eyes and led me down the path. When he told me to open them I saw him holding open the door of a beautiful white limo. He gently helped me in and we were off. Where are we going I asked? It's a surprise he said and kissed my cheek. We arrived at his Grampas farm which is such a special place to him and me. He led me to the entrance and opened the double doors and I blinked away the happy tears when I saw he had set up a table for two. We had a wonderful dinner, with wine and candles softly glowing. My how handsome he looked in his suit and such a romantic he was planning this all by himself. It's no wonder I fell in love with him and his kind gentle manner.
After dinner we again got in the limo and he asked the driver to take me on a tour to see the lit fountains and the ice show. I cannot even explain the beauty of it all. I snuggled in under his arm so close I thought we had become one. The feel of his sleek brindle coat on his cheek when I kissed it was so soft and he smelled so good an felt so warm.
Our last stop before going home**Snick asked the driver to go to the highest hill in the city and park. After the limo was parked he sat quietly in thought. Then he looked me in the eyes and I could see they were filled with love(Monnie wipes away the happy tears) and he then told me ***Monnie my love, look at the brightest star way up high sweetie**That is "Our Star" and when we are apart, just look at it and know I am looking as well so we are never alone.
Wow How did I ever get so lucky? I am the luckiest girl in the world to have Snick to call my very own. Oh how I love him :)

I am one happy pup

OMD I am so happy tonight. Snick and I were at the dance in the Social Club at P*I*F and he really took me by surprise. I am so very excited I can hardly say it. Well, here goes****Snick gave me a beautiful furiendship ring. It has 2 beautiful hearts interlocked just like our hearts are. I was so happy me got tears in my eyes. I am still so surprised. My daddy Prince Charles Of The Wandering Gypys asked him what his intentions were and he said he would never hurt me, always respect me and someday I would be a queen. I have found the most handsome and most kind boy doggie on Dogster and I also am the happiest girl on Dogster tonight. I really wuv him and wuv his family as well. I can't believe I was the one who could turn his shyness into believing in himself. I am so happy for him that he now know he is just as good as any other boy doggie, he now walks with his head held high and even has a strut when he walks( Me wuvs da strut) I feel safe when I am with him, I feel warm and fuzzy when I am with him. And most of all I feel loved when I am wif him. We are going to leave it up to the angels to guide us and see how far it will go. Thank You Lord for the blessing called Snickers you put in my life.

I can finally say it****I Am In Love

I have fallen head over tail in love wif Snickers. I have always liked him and found him to be very handsome from the first time I seen him when Lexi was looking at Princes page one night. He looked shy but I saw a kindness in his eyes. I so wanted to help him get over his shyness and to know others found him caring and kind even tho he didn't feel it. Now he knows he is just as good as anyfur and this makes me happy. I love his grampas farm as much as he does, we can run free there an when it gets dark we can howl at the moon together. We like the same things in life, like always being kind to others,but barking to protect those we care about, we like watching clouds and walking in the moonlight. He has a wonderful mommie an daddy who raised him to be a gentle doggie and he also has a wonderful brofur named Princey who is charming, funny and a great furiend to others. Snicks furiends from SBU like me and they are a great bunch of furs. I admit I was scared at first cuzz they all think so highly of him an me thought they wouldn't think I was good enough but they have accepted me and I am thankful. Tomorrow is thanksgiving and I have much to be thankful for. If you read this Snick I pray you will know how important you are to me and I will never do anything to hurt you I promise.

I had a nice day today

It was snowing and raining sleet today but I still felt warm and cozy. Snick has been pmailing me and I find myself checking my mail like every 1/2 hr. I get so excited when I see mail from him. I get to go to his Grampas farm for a Christmas party and I am so excited. I was dere once wif him and it is just beautiful and peaceful there. Lots of hills to run up an down on and clouds to watch and when da moonlight shines down on dat farm it is like God's holy light looking over the land as far as you can see. Me almost said da L word outloud to him but me got scared and run away quick like. Me don't want to ever scare him away cuzz he is in my heart and has been since the first time I saw him Is dat what they call L at first sight I wonder. shhhhhh sometimes I go to his page just to look at him. A moonlit walk

I was at the party in the Social Club at P*I*F and Snickers came(he's da doggie me has really liked fur a long time) and we danced, had wine and talked and the best part was he asked me to go on a moonlit walk wif him. We did this last week too but tonight just seemed more special for some reason. He is so kind and such a gentleman. He even took off his jacket and covered my shoulders so me wouldn't get cold. I didn't tell him the warmth of his body next to mine would keep me warm cuzz I was afraid he would think I was to pushy and bold. I really am not like that , I just so enjoy being wif him and standing next to him. I love the way the moonlight reflects on his beautiful brindle coat, and the smell of him makes me dizzy with love, Oh goodness did I say that/ oh my.
I always feel safe with him because he would never hurt me, and he is a big boy that can protect me. Even tho I am big too I still am just a girl. Sometimes I wish I was little like my sisfur cuzz boy doggies like little girls but dis is da way God made me and I like me just da way I am.

I had The Best Night

Oh I had so much fun at the Masquerade Pawty. I saw all my friends there, we ate, danced, and socialized. I received another rose from Snick(monnie"s smiling) and he remembered I loved yellow roses the best of all. What a gentleman. He asked me to walk in the moonlight with him and I was so very surprised. It was so enjoyable walking with him and I am so happy he is over coming his shyness. I pray he trusts me because I would never do anything to hurt him. I have cared about Snickers from the first time I seen him. There was something just so sweet about him. I have had other boy doggies pmail me but nobody could compare to Snickers. I was so overcome with happiness that I gave him a hug and a tiny kissie on his cheeck but I hope I didn't embarrass him or make him shy away. Did it scare him ? Only time will tell.

Halloween Night/Beautiful Night

I am the happiest girl(lady) in the whole world. I got to dance and be with my Troop tonight. I regret the negative scared feeling I had for the last week or so. I am sorry I ever doubted Troops love. I guess me never doubted it deep down in my heart it was loneliness that caused it. Troop is worth waiting for, he is the love of my life.
Tonight we had a Halloween party and we walked in the moonlight but the most special part of the night was when Troop and I went to our lighthouse. Troop found this lighthouse for us on the day of our engagement so it is very special to me and after tonight it is very special to both of us. Lexi smiles thinking of what they shared.

I better today

I better today, I not so sad today. Sometimes me just gets very lonely and da nights are hard when everone is sleeping and me can't sleep. Monnie, Mommie and Daddy they can sleep through anything but me not like that.

Such A Fun Day I Had

Snick got a new car and asked me to go for a ride wif him, This made me very surprised cuzz me knows he is so shy. Me is happy our friendship is helping him to over come dis shyness cuzz he has much to offer. He is kind and generous and has been taught well by his nice Mommie.
Together Snick and I ran and ran and me giggled cuzz my tummy felt funny inside, Was it cuzz me was with him or cuzz me was running so fast?
H e laid on his back but me just sat next to him and den we spotted a cloud dat looked like a kitty and we laughed together .
Then Snick pointed and said, look that one looks like cotton candy. Me looked and giggled again.
Snick was such a gentleman, he walked me to da car and opened the door for me. Den he drove very slow on da way home. Me hopes he did dis cuzz he didn't want da day to end and me didn't either. It is fun to be wif him and run and giggle.
And den da biggest surprise of all****he gave me a widdle kissie on da cheek. It felt so nice and it makes me feel so happy dat he is losing his shyness cuzz he is very well liked by many but he doesn't feel it is so.
Sometimes he feels he stands in his brother Prince's shadow but dat's not true. Prince is very popular and Snick will be too as soon as he builds up his confidence and me will help him wif dat. Different doggies have different personalities and dat doesn't mean they are loved anymore or any less.
Monnie goes to sleep dreaming of all da fun she had.

Da Party tonight

I went to the party in da Social Club tonight and Prince Charles of the wandering gypsies announced the engagement of him and Miss Muffy Mouse. Oh what a beautiful couple they are. He loves her like she is da only girl doggie in da world and she is a very lucky doggie.
Snickers came and brought me a beautiful yellow rose. Yellow is my favorite color and this was my very first flower and will always be special because Snickers over came his shyness to give it to me. Is der hope for us I wonder. I have always found him to be handsome and kind, a little on da shy side but me can help him get over thta. I'm just not sure if her really likes me or not. But as Lexi always says, Only Time Will Tell.

I am so happy for Lexi

I was at Lexi and Troopers engagement party tonight but kept a very low profile because it was there night to shine, and shine they did. Their love was glowing so bright it lit up the room and down the hall. Lexi looked so beautiful it brought tears to my eyes, I love my sisfur and now I love Trooper as well. God put a good doggie in Lexi's Life and we are so blessed.

2 days have gone by so slow for me

I had so much fun at da pawty Friday night an now 2 days have gone by and no boy doggie seems interested. Someone put surprises on my page but who and why I wonder. Well like Lexi tells me Only Time Will Tell but I am not as patient as her. I am a very excitable pup wif a high prey drive so it is hard for me to sit back an wait. Oh where oh where has my boy doggie gone, oh where oh where can he be, dis song keeps runnin through my head.

Oh my goodness, I had the best time of my life tonight, I mean other than the day Mommy gave me my forever home.
I danced an flirted and drank an ate an oh I am so excited I don't think I will ever fall asleep even tho I am so tired.
All of the boy doggies were such gentlemen and treated me wif such respect. Auntie Jenna made me a lovely cowgirl outfit to wear and when I twirled on the dance foor my widdle skirt few out around me in a circle. Whee I loved doing the spins of the square dance. The music was the greatest slow dances, paw stompin an I can't even discribe it it was so awesome.
I got to sit wif Snick fur awhile too. Giggle.
Off to my crate I go to try an sleep and I know if I do I will have beautiful dreams of all my beautiful furfriends.
O just looked an I see I have a red rose, I wonder, Oh I wonder who is sending me all these exciting things. Only time will tell.

Oh My, The country hoedown is in da Social Club tonight. Auntie Jenna made me an Lexi the cute outfits we have on today. She is so good to us and we wuv her so much.
I have been flirting a little bit in Dogster Land but no one has come forward yet. Man this must be what Lexi went through with Trooper. Oh I don't know how she could stand it, the not knowing I mean. Maybe I better go talk to her before da pawty or I be so nervous maybe it would be easier to just stay home. Oh, dear what's a girl spose to do?

My First Dance

I went to my very first Pawty at P*I*F Social Club and Auntie Jenna got me a new evening gown to wear and I looked so beautiful. She is so good to me and I wuvs her so much. I sure did turn alot of heads when I walked into da room and it made me feel unsure but giddy. I am so new at this boy/girl thingy. I watched my sisfur Lexi go through this until she met the Big Guy she fell in love wif so I know it is a good thing and it takes time. It was fun to flirt wif Alabaster and Prince and dancing wif them was so much fun. They were both such gentlemen and their Mommies did a fine job raising them to appreciate and respect girls and dat is very important to me and my family. I don't know where it will go for now but I am so looking forward to Fridays now and As Lexi says, Only Time Will Tell.

Da Talk Like A Pirate Pawty

Oh my goodness, at da Social Club at P*I*F we had a talk like a pirate pawty and everyone had so doggone much fun. Lexi an a couple of da Poops family had a tad to much grog and were sooo funny. Wish ya could've all been dere. Lexi got somewhat on da wild side so me had to take her home. It is so enjoyable tho to see how far she's come in such a short time. She now beleives in herself and Chawlie and Auntie Jenna helped her wif that an I will always be grateful to them for wuving her enough to help. Lexi is a totally different gurl and I wuv da gurl she has become. She has a nice boy dog named Troop who likes her and she likes him equaly as well.
Talking 'bout boy dogs, at da pawty Auntie Jenna tried to fix me up wif a doggie named BJ. He was quite good looking but took off in such a hurry that I really didn't get to know him. He never came back to da pawty either and havent heard nothin from him today so guess he wasn't interested. But hey dat's ok cuzz we have a new friend who came to play wif us at P*I*F nameed Prince and his brother Snickers --oh my is he a handsome dude. I think he might have a gurl interested in him and her name is Izzy but I'm not sure. If it isn't so I tink I will make a move fur him. Me is really attracted to him but I would never step in someone else's territory because it is cruel to do so. As Lexi always quotes=Only Time Will Tell.

I Won, Yup I sure Did

Wow, Fancy from da Fancy Pants Cafe just picked me and Mittens fur da Dog Of The Month Contest Winner and I am sooooo excited. Dis da second time I win a contest and my sisfur Lex is all bent outta shape cuzz she not win nothin yet. Heck she gots herself a Boy Dog name of Troop or Big Guy (I hear her talking in her sleep) that thinks she pretty special so she needs to concentrate on dat and leave all da contests to me. Monnie wiggls with glee. I not little and cute like her, I big a pretty and someday I have someone think I Beautiful too. But she my sisfur and I love her just da same, she just get to be a snotty brat sometimes. Maybe dis Troop Guy help her wif dat.

I think, but not sure

I think there is a nice doggie out there somewhere might be interested in getting to know me, at least dat's the word on the streets in the village. He not come forward like my sister Lexi's friend but as she always says, Time Will Tell. I'm excited for myself and very excited for Lexi-- she so deserves to have a love in her life. Lexi small but has a big heart of gold. She loves to help others to learn how to love but has just recently only learned to love herself despite her crooked little legs. Auntie Jenny, Uncle Buddy and Charlie helped her to learn that. They's awesome.

I can't wait until tomorrow

My Mommy and sis Lexi have been so doggone busy getting their new group P*I*F (Pay It Forward) together they kinda forgot about me and it makes me sad because Mommy and I did everything together. I know her group is all about spreading love around the world but I miss her. If you haven't joined(I did and I must admit it is going to awesome) please do so cuzz it is a great thing to do.

WOW, I'm Considered a Good Friend

My Mom is so proud and she's a dancin in the streets!!!
I love my photo of Best Friend Of The Week and what an honor to receive, even if I never win anything again I still try to be a good friend to all. It's important you know. I will truly try to live up to what the reward expects of me and good luck to the next one in line. :)

My Owie is better

Mommy has been taking real good care of me.
My eye is so much better, I mean it is not healed yet but way better than it was last Sat and it doesn't hurt much anymore. I even got to go for a walk with out the stupid Ecollar on. Have ya ever worn one of those? Yikes they are so embarrassing and I really think that's what the "E" stands for. Mom said it is for "Elizabethian " collar but I don't believe her.(shhhh,don't tell her that) She has never had to wear one so how the H would she know. Sorry pals but I really do hate the thing.
My human Dad saw it on the kitchen island and said,"Who bought the crazy looking lampshade?" See even he thought it was stupid looking.
Lexi is doing real well in her Leave It command and I hope she doesn't rip into me ever again but if she does when Mom saysLeave It she should listen this time because Mom has been drilling it into her, she forget her manners for some reason.
We all love each so we will SURVIVE.

I Have a "BIG" Owie

I am so sad and hurting because yesterday my sis Lexi started a fight with me for no reason. Mommy said there is Never a reason to fight. I know Lex doesn't feel good but she didn't have to attack me the way she did. She ripped my eye real bad and the vet Mom worked for was out of town so I had to go to the new emergency vet we have here in town and Mom sure didn't like the way he handled thing. Good thing she is a tech and knows what to ask because she refused me staying overnight and told him she would irrigate my eye at home. As soon as we got in the car she took the Ecollar off too because she knows as long as I'm next to het I won't scratch or rub my paw on my sutures. She's a good Mom and sat up with me all night. I take my meds really good and she is so proud of me. I know lots of my pals hate meds but I don't mind bcause she spreads a little butter on them and they slide right on down. The only thing Mommy was mad about was the $500 plus bill she had to pay right on the spot because she didn't think the care I got was worth it. I mean they were not even going to clean it before suturing because they said the anibiotics would take care of any infection. Duh, how dumb is that. They also didn't even look at my vaccination records Mom brought with. Well I could go on and on but I am home healing nicely and know Mommy will take the best care of me she can possibly do. I feel bad for Lexi because she stayed in her crate all night and she wasn't even scolded***I think she just knew she did something bad*** She had to be coaxed out with a treat. I am somewhat afraid of her now but Mommy will help me with that too because she has lots of patience.I am so lucky to have her. :)

MY 3RD BIRTHDAY

Wags and Wiggles, It's my birthday and I see I'm sharing my "Special Day" with thousands of my pup pals here on Dogster, the best dog site ever.
Mom is taking me to Petco to pick out a couple new toys and I guess Lexi gets a small one just so she won't feel left out but Hey, I got one on her Birthday too.

Mom will take a can of my Science Diet (I usually only get the dry)
and make me a Birthday Cake with 3 bones sticking up like candles. Cute huh? I have the best family ever. The brothers (human ones) that live with me will get me fun things too. They always put some crazy paper around their toys they give me and I don't know why, must just be something humans do. I don't like the taste of it so I usually rip it off fast to get to the goodies inside.

Well my coach is awaiting to take me to Petco and I think Mom will let me ride in the front with her. I always ride in the back but NOT TODAY because I'm special. I mean she knows I'm special everyday but this is my day, my day, my day. I can pretty much do what I want today but can't be naughty because it is never allowed.

I now have a new background!!!!!!!! Wagging my tail and Wiggling about. Spy's Mom was kind enough to do this for us. My Mom couldn't figure it out so Spy's Mom did it for us as a wonderful surprise. She is the greatest. My Mom was sad because she loves me and so wanted me to have a nice page but she just couldn't do it so Wendy was kind enough to do it.

My Mom is a former vet tech and is sooooo smart at training dogs and treating their owies but when it comes to the PC she is isn't too bright .(shhh don't tell her I said that or I might lose my treats for a day or 2.)

I Was Right!!!!

On Saturday I knew something was up when Mom took me to the truck with a leash in her hand(I don't use one because I always stay with her. And I thought,Why isn't Lexi riding along like she usually does(sigh).
When we flew right by the park I KNEW it was off to the Vets is where we were going, but I didn't care cuzz my Mom used to work there and the Dr. is nice. Doesn't mean I like getting shots tho.(ouchie)

So into the vet we went and there was another small dog(I call them scrappies) and I showed that other dog my teeth and I mean I was not smiling, so Mom corrected me by saying LEAVE IT and I listened to her because I love her so much. I got weighed first and I hit 70lbs!! I was declared healthy, good white teeth(mom brushes them for me because she loves me too) and the shots were a breeze. I didn't care to much for the rubber tubing he put on my front leg tho. Mom said it was for a blood draw to make sure I don't have Lyme or Heartworm and I didn't so now I get to have one of those yummmy heart worm tablets, but only once a month(sigh) I also get that cold feeling Frontline between my shoulders once a month. My sister has to go next week(wags) and she has to have her teeth cleaned again, poor girl, I feel bad for her. Mom brushes her teeth too but she just seems to get build up unlike me-I never get it.

Well because I was so good I get to have a big smoked bone(we get the smoked ones from the butcher because they don't splinter) and I don't share my bone(just share my toys and blankie) so Lexi gets one too. But that's ok(wags tail) because when Lexi goes next week for her teeth cleaning I will get one because she gets one(wiggling my body)

A Dog Day Afternoon

I am going to have a Dog Day Afternoon with my best friend Lexi who lives with me. In case you don't know what that means is, It is such a beautiful day to do nothing. Take a nap in the warm sun, lazing around and too comfortable to even chase the squirrels(smile) I don't even think I am going to chew the bone my Mom gave me, I will bury it along with the other 10 that she doesn't know I have stashed in her gardens( smile again)

Now this she thought was funny. She gave me 2 ice cubes last summer and I buried them in the yard. Several hrs later I dug half way to the center of the earth looking for them and I still don't know why she thought it was funny and I never did find them. I really think she moved them on me.(sigh)

Well, goodbye for today, I am off to the deck or the yard, where ever I choose to spend my Dog Day Afternoon. Try it sometime. It is The Best Way To Be Lazy For A Day.

Today in Minnesota it was a beautiful sunny day and Monnie and I along with our other pup Lexi whom is a rescue as well and is a Lab mix really enjoed the weather. First the girls ate a breakfast of Science Diet Natures Best with one Fish Oil Capsule drizzled on top. Then we proceeded outdoors and the girls played and chased squirrels while I worked in the garden and around noon it was back into the house where I went to lay on my bed for a nap and Monnie curled up on the couch and Lexi on the carpet in front of the patio door standing guard.

At 2 o'clock it was back outside for a couple hrs playing fetch with the tennis ball and practicing our sit,stay and recall and we girls are doing exceptionaly well.

The day is almost over and the girls have been brushed, ears cleaned and nails trimmed and are now just chillin out in the living room with the family and around 9 they will wander off to their crates(no door on them) to go to bed for the night.
