Arrival Story: At first, we wanted a full grown German Shepherd, so we looked into rescuing one. After trying to adopt one through a German Shepherd rescue and having the adoption fall through we decided to turn torwards the Anti-Cruelty Society of Chicago. We then adopted what-turned-out-to-be a German Shepherd/Pit Bull mix we had to return the dog 6 weeks later due to aggression. Then, we looked into rescueing a puppy, but decided it was too risky (a.k.a. we didn't want to end up with an aggressive puppy.) Then in January we drove to visit a breeder in Indiana and knew that Jordan was the one. A week later, we drove out and took him home!
Bio: Jordan is the greatest little pup!! Born on November 14, 2007, we have had him since January 13th, 2008. Isn't it a coincidence that he was born in the year of the dog? Jordan's mother is a cream colored Labradoodle and his father is a black standard poodle. Basically, he is a Labradoodle consisting of three parts Poodle, one part Labradoodle - which makes him an F1b Labradoodle. Still, we like to call him a Labradoodle. Surprisingly, even though the dad was a black poodle, there were no black puppies in the litter, only light cream to dark apricot. Jordan is dark apricot in color, but as he gets older he is lightening up in color. In total, there were seven puppies in the entire litter. When we got Jordan, there were four puppies left: Jordan, his two brothers Gordon and Samson, and his sister Brutie. He was born at 6:21 pm and was second-smallest in the litter. He is growing and is mighty big already! Jordon is just about 100% housetrained. He knows sit perfectly, and is the same on down - but he will do anything for a treat! He will sit before we toss him a ball, before he gets his food, and before we go outside. He is a well mannered puppy. Jordon is very calm, but he does have some puppy energy running through him. He is slightly timid and can become shy around strangers, but his confidence is growing. Jordan loves to chase after any moving critter or ball. He is so well behaved that we can take him off leash at the park! Jordan has been eating nutritious dog food ever since the day we took him home that has no grains, chemicals, artificial flavors and colors, meat by-products, and all that other junk food. He is very affectionate and does not bite or nip. He has lost a lot of his baby teeth and is growing a full smile. He loves to take naps, and while no one is at home he doesn't have to go into the crate anymore. His favorite store is Parker's Pets and gives it a five- paw rating. Jordan is a paws-itively perfect dog!

I've Been On Dogster Since:
I just ate the most SPECTACULAR dinner! It was one of my favorite foods - FROMM Surf & Turf. That flavor rocks.... well, so does every other dog food flavor, but you get my point. It is kind of stinky which my humans do not like but i think i will make a purrrr-fume called Eau' De Surf et Turf. (Et means and in francais - french). yesterday, i was very naughty and i chewed through a computer wire!!!! luckily, i didn't get electrocuted. Phewf! my human's friends just got two springer spaniel puppies and i am soooooooooooooooo happy! unfortunetly, they won't let me see the puppies yet because the pups will be too overwhelmed by me..... ;.....( anyways, on a happy note, today i celebrated my 4 month anniversary w/ my owners!!!!!!!!! and tomorrow i will be exactly 6 months old!! yay me!!!!!!!!!! uh oh ~ that means i'm getting neutered soon! ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!! scary, scary!!!!!!!! oh goodness , i'm going under the knife!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!! will i survive? my human says yes but i'm not sure.
I guess I feel like taking a walk in the wild side. I mean most people think I'm a little insane already.... I mean for example, today I played in the backyard and ate a TON of woodchips. Then, when I came inside, I threw up all over the nice crapet. My mom wasn't exactly thrilled. That's ok. I just acted cute and sat in my crate while she cleaned it up. I really have trained my humans to be servants! If I don't get what I want when I want it, well, I don't know.... I guess I get upset! I haven't really crossed the line... maybe... o.k. I mean NEVER in my whole entire lifetime (which isn't very long, really) have I crossed the line. O.K., so maybe that time I dug a whole in the wall counts but.... it was just teensy tiny. really. seriously. c'mon people & canines, you gotta believe me!!! it wasn't that big. it was only slightly gigantic... oops, i let the cat out of the bag. i mean dog. uuuuuuugh! now i just have to figure out how to get some more food. More food. now. MORE!!!! anyways, that is my life as i tell it.
ps- I really should keep up with this diary better. seriously, what was i thinking man?
