I'm not feeling so good...

Last night I threw up a bunch of times... no FUN! Mommy's taking me to the V-E-T today to make sure I'm okay. I didn't want to eat breakfast this morning and usually I'm eating EVERYONE's breakfast.

Mommy asks that you send up some prayers for me that I feel better soon.

I'm Not So Sure About This...

Daddy brought a puppy home. SIGH. I'm warming up to this thing, but I'm taking my time. It's a little boy puppy, and I'll admit that I'm a teensy bit jealous. Mommy still gives me lots of hugs and snuggles, but I kinda liked being the only boy dog in the house. This is going to take a little getting used to.

I don't like it when he tries to eat out of my bowl. I don't like it when he tries to pounce on me. HRUMPH!

Miss Buddie really likes him, so I guess he's okay. Oh well, I'll adjust.

I'll keep y'all posted on how we do.

It's my BIRTHDAY!

Mommy can't believe I'm 3 today and it's been over a year since I came to my furever home.

Last night she took my face in her hands and gave me kisses and told me that she just couldn't imagine why anyone would want to give me away. Aww.... But I'm glad it worked out this way cuz now I have an awesome family who loves me to pieces.

YAY!

I'll protect you, Mommy!

We live really close to a large Baptist church that always does fireworks for the 4th of July. Since it was the Sunday before the the 4th, the church did their big show last night. We can't see the fireworks from our house but we sure can hear them.

I started hearing "boom, boom, boom" and me and Miss Buddie immediately sprung into action to find out where this noise was coming from. We have a sacred duty to protect our family from stuff outside and we were ON THE JOB!

Me and Buddie ran from window to window to door to door barking at whatever was making that noise so that they would know that we were there and not to try to bother our family. Miss Gracie got really scared and hid under a blanket but not me! Not Miss Buddie! We're the great protectors!

I might only be 8 pounds in size, but in my heart, I'm 10 feet tall and bulletproof!

I don't like SNOW!

It snowed here over the weekend. Not just the usual dusty stuff we get, but real, full-on, snowman material snow. Everyone was really excited about it. I was too... until.... I stepped in it. Did you know that stuff is COLD? Like refrigerator cold?

Buddie loved the stuff. She rolled in it. She ate it. She romped in it. Me? I peed and then sat on the back steps with my teeth chattering.

Fun facts about me.........

1. I like barking at stuff. Anything that moves works for me.

2. I like to sleep under the covers snuggled up to Mommy's behind.

3. I am crazy about rope bones.

4. I have luxating patellas, but I don't care because I get a yummy treat every day because of it. The vet says mine are just minor and with my treats, I'll probably be fine for a very long time.

5. I like to steal stuff and put it behind the couch.

6. My favorite game is chase the cat, but that's okay because most of the time Oscar starts it.

7. My other favorite game is chasing the laser pointer. I keep looking for the little red dot long after Dad puts the pointer away.

SNOW!

YES! It snowed last night! Me and Buddie went outside for our morning potty break and there was snow EVERYWHERE! It was WONDERFUL.

We raced in it. We rolled in it. We chased squirrels in it. It was awesome! Of course Mom wasn't excited to have to towel all the mud off of us when we came in, but we didn't care.

IT SNOWED! It hardly ever snows where we live so we have to enjoy it while it lasts!

Dude, it's COLD!

I sure didn't want to get up this morning. I was snuggled under the covers with my Mom and loving life. When Mom gets up, I usually tag along with her to get Miss Buddie and we go outside. Today, I stayed in bed under the electric blanket.

It's cold out there, man, but Mom made me go anyway. I did get a treat when I came back in, so I guess it's okay.

This dog is ready for spring.
