Dakota gets pretty mad when we take in rescues from the pound. She enjoys her quiet time and having the porch to herself and our temporary residents don't allow that.

Around the yard. She secures the premises and keeps all the bad crows and squirrels away.
Best Tricks:
Dakota came from the pound fully trained. She can come, sit, stay, roll over and sit and stand up and dance better than any dog I've ever seen
Arrival Story:
My mom and I regularly go to the pound to see if there's anything we can save and fix-up/train to give to a good home. We just happened to go to the pound in March 2004 and find Dakota and her 6 one day-old puppies about 15 minutes before they all got put down. We couldn't stand the thought of that so we rescued the lot and raised 6 wonderful intelligent pups, all of which are doing great in new homes. Normally we would have given Dakota away too, but she just fit in so well and made such a perfect companion to my Australian Shepherd, Tatum that we had to keep her.
