Merry Christmas and Old Ange Syne.

WE're very happy to be getting ready for Christmas, Mom even put an indoor bathroom for Zumbi. She calls it a Christmas tree.
I do like the pretty bow I get to wear.
But this Christmas is tinged with sadness. Our good friend Poppy followed her sister Amber across the Rainbow bridge in less than 4 months. Her mummy is so sad. We put our paws together to pray for comfort for her and that Gracie will help her to heal.
All the best treats and hugs to all the furs out there.

I hear you

Just because HE has a real pedigry, and he got a ribbon I have put up with his glouting. Well actually I'm very proud of my baby brother, and the Toy show and seeing all my friends was lots of fun. Oh and though I should lose a bit o weight I got a clean bill of health for heart and knees at the health clinic.

They are home...

Mommy and Daddy left us one night and didn't come back for almost a month...
I know, I have seen them go and come back. But it is never easy.
Tia Solange was there when we got up the next morning. And she takes real good care to give us our food and stuff, but it isn't the same. Daddy smells so good. I love to snuffle into the covers between his legs in the morning.
We did see them a bunch of times on the no-smell-box. They say "hey baby" but it doesn't smell like Mommy and Daddy it smells like plastic and tia Solange.
But they are home now. Chicken treats, laps and early morning big bed time.
Right now I'm on Daddy's lap and Zumbi is licking Mommy's feet. All's right with the world.

OK enough!!!

First there is Zumbi. He's cute. He's growing. He usually is in Mommy's lap so Daddy's is still mine. I didn't mind sharing the big bed with him. But now he's gone too far. Since I was little my favorite toy has been Snuperigi the Orangatang. Mommy and Daddy brought him from Animal Kingdom for me. I even let ZUmbi play with him. But he went too far. He's chewed the nose off and pulled the stufffing from the head. He just doen't have respect for a princess.

It's Official

I am a Canine Good Citizen. This is like passing bar after taking the classes. Daddy and I went to the training club on Saturday and I passed with flying colors. One time when he was coming toward me I stood up but I didn't move. The judge said I was very compliant. I'll do anything my Daddy wants. I love him so. Now we can become a therapy team. Zumbi needs to grow up a bit for this.
Sunday we went to a Meetup group/Rescue Christmas party. The best count Debbie, the hostess could give was 45 Cavaliers. Imagine the confusion.
Zumbi's 3/4 brother Fred fell in the pool it was so crowded, but he didn't mind. I sat on Daddy's lap a bit, but there was sooo much going on even I had to investigate and make new friends. And then there was Santa Paws. We got our picture with him. With and without Mom and Dad. Mom is going to decide what makes the best card and post some others on our pages.
We didn't even notice that the rolly bag was in the car, but after the party we left Mommy at the airport.
We talked to her on the no smell box tonight and she says she'll be back on Saturday. I can't wait. She said we'll put up the tree then. I love the lights. I'll have to teach Zumbi to respect it.

I Graduated

Yup I did. Did everything just fine at my final exam. The teacher said I was awesome. This still isn't the CGC. It's like having your final exam and then having to take the bar., but now I KNOW I can do it.
Daddy liked going to class so much with me we're going to start something called rally fundamentals next week.
Zumbi is still in puppy kindergarden you know. But someday he'll grow up and graduate too.

Educated Lady

When I first started obedience class I thought, I've had my own way for 4 years why change now. Particularly the Settle command,,, Bow to a mere human? But more I did it the more I liked it. Daddy is sooooo proud of me and I love making him happy. Prancing next to him on a Let's Go. Stopping and sitting sooooo pretty. I may just get that CGC certificate in a couple of weeks. Then I'll be an educated lady.

Things haven't change THAT much....

I still get to come into the bed in the morning. I still get to sleep on the back of the couch with Daddy.
The only big change is if I don't get to my lunch right away that little one is over there trying to eat it. Bit of a pest.
But I'm getting used to him. Even letting him cuddle up to me in the big bed in the mornings.
BTW I am doing just fine at school. Took me a couple of weeks to ACCEPT "settle" but now I'm just fine. Daddy is so proud of me. I didn't win the halt-sit contest, but I came in 3rd. Not bad for a slightly older than the rest of the class lady.

He's Here

I've had a secret for a few weeks, but now the cat's (well, actually the pup's) out of the bag.
I have a Baby Brother!!!!!! And this time he's not a foster, he's a real, gonna stay with us, this is his furever home, brother. His name is Zumbi, officially LaCanina Mio Re Zumbi. He's a 10 week old Black & Tan Boy.
Finn and Skye knew the secret for a couple of weeks, but promised to keep mum. I just couldn't keep the secret from them when I found out that Finn and Zumbi are cousins. They have the same FurGranddaddy, Teddy, Pascavale Enchanted, and they all (including Skye) have Brookhaven FurGrandmoms and Brookhaven FurDaddys
He came home today, keeps running around and getting in Mommy's lap.
As long as he remembers who the Princess is around here, I guess I'll keep him.

There's a cool school here, several of the rescue ladies are involved. I know I will learn fast. Dad is hoping I can get my CGC and be a therapy dog.
My friend Roxie and her Mom are going to part of the class. And afterwards there 's a town real close that is real dog friendly. We plan on going out for drinks(beer for the Mommy and Daddy, water for me, sure..) and dinner after class. Cool, huh?
