Before I was adopted, I was in a cage, all alone for half of the day. It was terrible! I barely ever saw anyone and i was so lonely.
One day a kind lady came into the shelter. I heard her say her name was Stacey. Stacey saw me and she said I was beautiful. I perked up and tried to give a smile. I wagged my tail for the first time in months.
Stacey said she wanted to take me home. She filled out my papers and took me to her home. It was beautiful. There was toys, blankets, food and another dog. His name was Max. He was also a Lab. But unfortunetly, he died two days after I was taken home. Stacey said he had really bad cancer. It was just me and Stacey. She said I was the best dog she ever had and she was the best owner I ever had.
I stayed with Stacey for another 2 years before I went to the bridge.

Adoption is a wonderful thing..It gave me a bed to sleep on, food to eat and an owner to sleep with.
