Arrival Story:
As a young couple having only been married a few months and who were used to having a dog around for companionship, my husband found out through his work that one of the employees' dogs just had a litter of puppies. Smokey was part of a litter of pups born to a dalmation/lab and a german shepherd/lab. Both his mother and father were onsite when we arrived to pick him out of the litter. He was so cute with a small head and body but BIG paws. We knew we would end up with quite a large dog.

Bio:
In his prime, Smokey weighed 95lbs. He was a gentle soul and a loving companion to our two children. He was mostly tan and black with a white diamond between his shoulder blades which eventually faded as he aged. He had liver spots on his belly and a few on his paws - the only sign that he had dalmation in him along with the shape of his head. He shared his family with Chloe the cat, who came into the house when he was about 11 years old. He didn't pay much attention to her but she was extremely afraid of him. He lived a very full life and passed away at the age of 14.
