Big rope chew

He'll walk anywhere, anytime.

Best Tricks:
Jumping in the air and spinning, and while in mid-air, kicking something stationary with his back legs for more momentum.

Arrival Story:
Some very kind people rescued Pip from a very unfortunate situation and fostered him for a few months before deciding that he was a little too much for their full house. His foster mom sent an email notice to a network of animal people, and I just happened to have been added to the list a few months earlier. I also happened to be in the middle of my search for dog number three at the time, and had just reached the conclusion that I should start thinking small. (I had been looking at boxer mixes and other medium-sized dogs). When I read the email describing Pip as a chihuahua-italian greyhound mix, I replied right away. Within 48 hours, Pip and his foster mom and I, along with Tommy, my 4 year old chi mix, were getting acquainted at the local pet store, and within 30 minutes or so, the adoption was final! Pip hasn't even been with us for a whole month and it's like he's been here forever. He's got tremendous chutzpah, which he used right from the start to convince Tommy not to take him for granted. And as it turns out, Tommy has benefitted greatly from having met his match. Grover, as usual, is taking it all in stride, and doesn't mind in the least that there's another little monkey-dog in his house.
