Likes:
To play BALL !! ALLLLLL the time, 24 and 7!

Pet-Peeves:
NOT to play ball, 24 and 7! Not having constant attention!

Favorite Toy:
Look above, under ""like most" and "pet peeves" and d guess what this may be?

Favorite Food:
Anything that fits in her massive mouth, between equally massive teeth!

Favorite Walk:
She doesn't actually "go for walks" she has her own, ranch to patrol the grounds of.

Best Tricks:
Any type and form, of balancing. On hips, three legs, hindquarters, paw tips, etc.!

Arrival Story:
When Marika was fist adopted, she came from a vary careless breeder who had not inoculated her, enough, or properly. Shortly after adoption, she was nearly lost to a terrible, infectious, bone and nerve disease. She nearly died, two times, and her hopes were VERY slim, if at all, for survival. She lived and is NOW in prfect health, although her growth was severly stunted as a result. So, she'll forever weigh, around the 50-60 pound mark, instead of the 100-125 poound mark, her breed calls for.

Bio:
Even though, severly stunted in her growth, Marika is now, extremely healthy and out of the 14 dogs we own, she's by FAR the smartest sharpest and quickest learner of the whole kennels! Her "vocabulary" of one syllable words, she comprehends, passes the 25-30 word mark and grows almost daily!

Hey, Dogster Pals!
Not too much going on, today. But, it's this "Winter Time" I keep hearing my humans talk about. "Winter", must be human speak for "cold, wet, rainy, and VERY LITTLE ball playing! At least, that's the way I SEE IT! Mom and Dad won't let me chase my blue ball, out in the yard, because I've sort of "worn a spot" through the grass, since it's been so wet lately and Dad's not too happy about that!
We have more of those "white doggie babies" again, too! Mom calls them "Westies", they her and Dad breed. My sister is one of those, too, I guess. Maybe that explains why she's so weird............... she's all white and doesn't like to get muddy at ALL! Anyway, since we have more of these baby dogs around, I'll have to watch over them, like always and make sure the new Mom and her pups are well protected! It's my job! I hired myself to do it!
Geeesh! This is boring! Nothing to do, much, and nothing much to write about! I think I'll find something FUN to do, like go find Remedy's bone and chew on it, so my own, doesn't get too small!
Woofs, to all!

Cool Day!

Today was pretty cool! The neat-o snake toy, that Mom and Dad brought home for me, yesterday, is sooo cool to play with!! I thought it was a pretty great toy, when they first gave it to me, but Mom's improved it a whole bunch, with something she calls "thread". She's used this "thread" stuff several times, since yesterday, and some shiny, pointy thing, (that I got poked in the nose with, when I tried to offer my expert advice, on what she was doing...), and it seems to pull this thread, in and out of the snake where I've made some GREAT HOLES in it!
Well, now, with this "thread" all over the snake, it seems to make it tougher to chew on and I like that a LOT! Mom thinks it's dumb, I think and so does Dad, that I've put a bunch a holes in my new snake already, (I heard them talking, while Mom was doing her "thread" thing), but, being HUMANS, neither one of them, are what I'd call an "expert" about dog toys! You'd THINK, that humans that breed and raise dogs would know SOMETHING about how dog toys are suppoed to "BE", but THEY don't!
I love my new snake, though! It's as long as ME, and of course, made by OTHER HUMANS that don't know SQUAT about dog toys, to they STUFFED the thing, with that white, soft, crud, they always stuff dog toys with! I've already got plans to "fix" that, of course, tonight........ when Mom and Dad are in bed. By morning, I'll have this new toy snake PROPERLY fixed, so it's REAL dog toy, not the way the dumb humans made it!!! It'll be soft, and cuddly and easy to carry around and even greater to pay tug-o-war with, with my sister Remedy, once the stupid stuffing's taken out, and there's some really well placed holes in it! THENNNNNNNNNN, it's be PERFECT!
Remy's also chewed her new, squeaky toy into near perfect shape, but it's rubber, so it'll take her longer. Maybe, since the snake can be done in one, night, tomorrow, I'll be a good brother and help Remy fix her's too!?!! One thing I love about my family....................... We all help each other, when needed!
Better go, for now.... dad's in the kitchen and there's only ONE GOOD REASON, he should be, in there!!! To find some kind of really great treats to give to Rem' and I!
Talk to all my Dogster Pals, later.............................Woofers!

WOW!

Yeah, (((WOW!))
Today, was that "holiday" word, I kept hearing Mom and Dad talking about recently. The one that's got all the FOOOOD, involved in it! They've talked about other holidays, before, like this other one that just happened, which showed me how DUMB humans can REALLY be, where the humans dressed up in stupid looking coverings, then ran around and asked other humans for free treats!??? I THOUGHT, that holiday, just MIGHT BE "canine related", because I heard words like "Tricks and Treats", which I AM really familiar with, but it was NOTHING like that all!
I didn't see anyone, do ANY tricks, for one thing! No one "sat up", or "brought back something thrown", "roll over", "stay".... nothing! And, yet, from what little I saw, a lot of humans STILL got so MANY treats they carried them in BAGS, because their paws couldn't carry them all! I didn't get ANY of these treats, and I was even on my BESTEST EVER behavior! Mom told me, "Dogs can't have candy", whatever this "candy" stuff is, but I guess humans can eat it, okay.
Whatever, that stupid holiday's come and gone but the NEAT-O ONE was TODAY! There weren't any tricks involved, in this holiday, none that I heard about, anyway. I checked with Remedy, too, because she's been through all these holiday things more than I have. All she kept saying, was, "Just WAIT, until Mom and Dad get HOME, Ma-riki!" So, I sat by the back door, and waited! AND waited ANDDDDD WAITED! Nothing! I slept a while, waited some more, played keep away, with Rem, then took another nap!
FINALLYYYYYYY, I heard that big, steel box Dad and I go places, together, in coming into the driveway. I knew it was Mom and Dad, because Dad's big, steel, box, doesn't sound like anyone elses I've ever heard.
Even Rem-Rat, ran up next to me, at the door, and together we started letting Mom and Dad know we were glad they were finally home!
So, they come in, and start petting both of us, and I notice there's this "SMELL" all around them, that's like fresh meat and veggies and all kinds of other, smells, I hadn't smelled before!!! I sat down, and waited like SUCHHHHH a PERFECT dog and watched Mom and Dad put all these shiny covered things on the kitchen counter, and take off their coats, and move around. But, they didn't ""DO"" anything, except occasionaly reach down and say something nice to us, or pet us!? Remedy must know this whole routine, because she just SITS THERE and does nothing! But, finally, she barks ONCE, telling Mom that we've been really great while they were gone, and then asked her, "Whats' in the shiny, covered, things and what did you bring US??"
"(Remedy's soooooo cool! She can say SOOOO MUCH, with just ONE bark!).
Mom said something, to Remey, I didn't catch, but then she opens one of the shiny covered things and the SMELLSSSSSSSSS about make me drool my tongue off! TURKEY!!! NO mistaking the smell of THAT! Mom's given us turkey before, on a special occasion, I remember. You can't miss THAT SMELL!! No sir-ree! Now, Remedy even forgets that she's supposed to be some type of "Classy Dog", or something, and starts to dance around the kitchen! Mom tosses her a piece of this turkey! Heck, I figure if "mere dancing" gets me free trukey............ why not? So, then, I DO this great canine dance, and sure enough.................... here comes this big bite, of warm turkey, sailing through the air, at ME!
I don't even have to stop dancing, to catch it, in my mouth and swallow it!!
Then, Dad gets really down to buisiness, and picks up both our food dishes, off the floor, and puts them up on the counter. He and Mom open ALL the shiny wrapped things, then I can see them putting all kinds of neat-o things, in both of our dishes! When Dad sets them, back down, onto the floor, mines HEAPED with the bestest, gooderest, mostest neaterest, things to eat, EVER! Between bites, Remedy, eating next to me, tells me we're having turkey, (well, DUHHH!), and something called, "Dressing", which sure didn't look OR taste, like anything my Mom's ever worn, before!??! But call it what they like, it was GREAT! We also got pie crust, with that weird veggie, I think, called "pumpkin" on the edges of it. And, we got green beans, and some AWESOME cheese, and MORE turkey!
Remey, I think, told me about some other stuff that was in our bowls but I was too busy eating to listen to her, by then. She can talk all she wants, and NOT eat, but not ME! Whatever it was, we got, there was soooooo much of it, that when I ate all of MINE, I had to go lay down, in the sunlight on the sofa, to rest my jaws! Well, that, and my tummy was sort of "full" and it felt awfully heavy, to me, when I jumped up, on the sofa! Remedy came into the living room, shortly after I did, and it took HER, TWO tries to jump up, onto her end of the sofa she was so full!
Man!! I'm going to REALLY LOVE this certain holiday, I can tell! But, after a long nap, Remedy told me, in a sort of a drowsy and half asleep, voice.... "You think, THIS was something, Marika, JUST WAIT, until the NEXT holiday rolls around, we REALLY get a feast, THEN!" Man, I don't know, if my tummy can handle, anymore of these, "Holidays"!??! But I'll sure try!
Woofers!
