All that is necessary for the triumph of Evil is for good men to do nothing
Country is sittin' on the back porch listen to the whippoorwills late in the day
Country is mindin' your business helpin' a stranger if he comes your way
Country is livin' in the city knowin' your people knowin' your kind
Country is what you make it country is all in your mind
[ guitar ]
Country is workin' for a living thinkin' your own thoughts lovin' your town
Country is teachin' your children find out what's right and stand your ground
Country is a havin' the good times listen to the music singing your part
Country is walkin' in the moonlight country is all in your heart
Well MOM says that I have fought a good fight, but the treatments are no longer working and even though I am home right now she says it probably won't be much longer til I am gone.
The Oncologist I saw today was not one of my regular vets so I did not get to say goodbye to them, But I got to see my two favorite vet techs which made mom happy cause they have been there since the beginning of my treatments.
I have a pain killer, which hopefully will make me more comfortable and I am on an appetite stimulant so that I will want to eat and maybe give me a few more days for my pawrents to say goodbye
MOM and DAD are really hoping I will choose when I am ready to go, but if not and they have to make that decision for me, they know in their hearts they did everything they could to give me as much time as possible.
I know they are going to miss me. I have always been such a pawful...It will seem really quiet without me around.
I hope Sandy and Shadow are there to meet me when I get to the bridge and will introduce me to all the other angels in our family...Mom says they are all quite the characters.
Mom says she needs to stop typing now....she can barely see the screen through her tears
Well I must say all the popping my friends have done has helped.
Although I am far from being out of the woods, there is still some hope
Mom and Dad took me to the oncologist yesterday really expecting that all my options were gone. But they were suprised when the Vet said we still have options.
It was evident to her that my treatments were no longer working, but she says there are others we can try..
So now i am on a new protocol...It is a stronger drug that Is only given every 3 weeks..It has its pros and cons...
The worst con is that it can effect the liver so I will have to have my liver enzymes monitored weekly
The best pro is that it is easier on the digestion so that I should be able to eat more of the foods I like without getting the squirts...
Mom is not getting her hopes up too much, but is very grateful that at least I will have more time to be with her and Dad
