Well, well, well, I have been a bad little doggy in not updating my diary for quite some time. Shame on me. There is a lot to report too.
First of all, I got a new cousin. Her name is Ellie and she is a frenchie/pug mix. She is pretty cute, but a total pain because she wants to give me wet willies with her tongue all the time. I get kind of mad when she does that and she doesn't take a hint very well. I mean, who wants goo in their ears?! Anyway, the other kind of sucky thing about her is that she gets a lot of attention at the dog park because she is so cute. Boo! That means less attention for me. Oh well, it's nice to have another friend I guess, right?
Another new development is that I am now a vegetarian! I was kind of a stinker about it when mom told me she wanted me to go veg, but after she tried out about 2,344,595 different kinds of food, I finally found a couple I could stand so it's not all bad. Plus, I learned that I really like these carrot chew things - yum!
Well, I guess that's all for now. Keep it real, Dogster pups, and I'll check ya later!
xoxo,
Otis the vegetarian

So, I am happy to report that at the young age of 5, I have basically perfected my kissing strategy. Yes, I like to kiss strangers - I can't help it! They just look so kissable!
So this is how it works: when mom takes me on walks, we usually run into several other canines and their humans. I say hello to my dog friends with a good sniff to the butt, but then focus my attention on their human, because I will do pretty much anything for some affection. Anyway, when I go say hello to the human, usually she will bend over to pet me. I sit like a good boy until she's bent over (I'm tricky!), and then I thrust myself up at her face with my tongue out so that I can kiss her before she even knows what happened! If I miss the first time, I just keep hopping until I get her real good in the face. Nomnomnom!
For some reason, then all the humans always ask mommy if I'm still a puppy. HELLO, I AM A GROWN MAN. I have no idea why they would think I'm some kind of BABY. It's pretty rude if you ask me. Oh well, they just have tiny human brains, I guess I shouldn't take it so personally.
Peace out until next time-

Hello ladies and gentlemen,
I'm sorry for the long absence, I have been quite busy as of late. A couple of weeks ago, mom took me to my grandma & grandpa's farm and we had quite the time! I got to go to a parade (my only complaint was that there weren't enough goats wearing hats in it), walked around town, played on the farm, and got lots of snuggling and treats from g-ma and g-pa. FUN TIMES. Then we had to come back to the stupid city where I don't get nearly enough free time outside - mom always has me on a leash. Stupid leash!
Today, for example, there was a delicious little bunny hopping around the yard and I totally could've eaten him if my mom didn't have me on a leash. She says "we don't eat bunnies" and she's right in that I don't get to eat them since she won't let me catch them, but I WOULD LIKE TO EAT ONE. Why doesn't she get that? Grrr.
My cousin Charlie is still a big pain in my butt, let me tell you. I've been standing up to him more lately which I think is good, but honestly I just can't handle his constant shenanigans! He is out of control, that one. Hopefully he'll learn to be as distinguished and well-behaved as yours truly someday. That is quite a tall order, however.
That's all for now, I've got to get back to watching my stories.
Peace out!

For what seemed like forever, my mommy abandoned me. She left me with my auntie and uncle and their 2 pugs and one furry orange kitty. My cat sister Kisa came with. Boy was SHE mad about that. I wasn't as mad, but I sure did miss my mom.
While I was at my auntie's I got to sit in the back yard for hours and hours a day. My new house doesn't have a very nice yard, it's all cement and stuff. So when I get to be at auntie's house I spend the whole day in the back yard. One night after bedtime I even woke aunty so that I could go outside and play. I jumped in the pool for a swim in the middle of the night and she got mad about it. Loosen up, auntie!!!! Sometimes you need a swim after bedtime, ya know?
Anyway, Kisa and I sure are happy to have mom back! Kisa is climbing all over mommy as I write this. She's so needy, jeez.

This weekend my mom had some kind of Mexican themed party and she made me wear a poncho. Ok, "made" is a strong word...I actually kind of like wearing clothes. Everyone says how cute I am and gives me extra special attention when I'm dressed up - what's not to like?? The only down sides of the party: 1) I had to take a BATH the night before. Mom said I was stinky and apparently you can't be stinky at parties (someone should tell mommy), and 2) people stayed so late it was past my bedtime and I was REALLY TIRED. Do you know how tiring it is having people pet you and tell you you're cute all day? No, I didn't think you did.
Anyway, it was pretty fun overall. I got some good treats and got to play with my friend Lucy and this other dog that stopped by for a bit. She was a little crazy, but still pretty fun.

So my auntie recently got a doggy that looks a lot like me. His name is Charlie and he's only 1 year old - if that - and he's naughty. Charlie wants to play keep away all the time, so I chase him all over the house when I visit him or he visits me. That dog is crazy, yo, and that's a fact. He just never stops wiggling and squirming and wrestling, and at my ripe old age (4), sometimes it gets kind of annoying. But I still like him. We play some pretty fun games together and he tires me out and mom likes that.
Charlie tries to eat all my food, though. I don't like that. It is MY food in MY bowl, Charlie - take a hint! But noooo, he comes over and gobbles up anything he can get his little paws on, and then he pees on some of my mom's stuff. I don't like the way Charlie's pee smells, mine is much better, but I know mom will get mad at me if I pee on Charlie's pee, so I don't. I just put up with it.
I'm the best dog ever!!!!

You may notice there is a new photo of me up. I am wearing jeans. JEANS, people. Can you believe that crap?! My auntie Laura got me a pair of JEANS. Ok, I know, I know, I look REALLY freaking adorable. But still, it's kind of ridiculous don't you think?
Oh well. My aunties are all pretty awesome, so I guess I can put up with being dressed up like a gangsta every now and then, right?

I am writing this from my house and it is lonely here. After almost 4 days on the farm with my grandparents, 3 aunts, 1 uncle, 2 pug-cousins and 2 other big dogs to play with, being back here in the city sucks! Mom made me come back here yesterday and I am NOT very happy with her.
I want to live on the farm! I want to be able to roam the country side day and night (ok, maybe not night - it's cold & scary out there at night), I want to be given T-bone steaks to chew on, and I want playmates and people around 24/7. THAT is a dog's life, let me tell you.
Now I'm just back in the city with my sister, Kisa. And she's a lame-o cat who hisses at me when I try to "play" with her. All I gotta say is mom better find a way to make this up to me.
Also, yesterday was my birthday. I am FOUR YEARS OLD. Mom says because we were traveling yesterday we would celebrate tonight. I get MEAT CUPCAKES. YUMMY!!! I guess life could be worse, huh?

Those are 2 of my favorite things this weekend. And all the time, really.
I got this new yellow squeaky ball and it goes "squeak, squeak, squeaksqueakysqueeeeaaaakkkkk" and I make it do that! I go "squeakysqueak" and mom looks at me and steals it away and squeaks it herself and then throws it down the stairs. Then I go get it and we start all over again. It's a REALLY fun game. She thinks so too. She didn't SAY that, but I can tell. She loves when I make it squeak for HOURS at a time. And believe me, I do.
Anyway, today we also went on a long walk on my grandma & grandpa's farm and I didn't have to be on a leash or anything. So of course I took advantage of that and went ahead and explored the barn and quanset and went all over in the fields and mom said "Otis, Otis, O-TIS, where ARE you?" and I was like "if I wanted you to know, I'd BARK at you, duh". Silly mom. I'm gonna be 4 years old in just two days, so I think I know how to explore a field by myself, ya know?
Peace out-
Big Grown Up Otis
