Likes: Playing with kids, Dingos (the chew toys), going to the dog park, licking people even if they aren't particularly receptive to it, jumping up on people...even the elderly and small children, writing about my adventures
Pet-Peeves: Not getting enough attention, not being able to spend the whole day outside in the sun, leaving the dog park, Phoebe eating my treats
Favorite Toy: My stuffed toy that looks like a present, my pug-cousin Phoebe, whatever Phoebe happens to be playing with at the moment, anything with a squeaker, and I definitely like to play with my treats before eating them (if Phoebe doesn't get them first!)
Favorite Food: PIZZA!, peanut butter, french fries, greenies, chicken jerky, cat poop if I can get my little paws on it!, anything mom is eating
Favorite Walk: I'll go on any walk you'll take me on! But I'd rather go to the dog park if possible.
Best Tricks: Um...roll over? But you're going to have to bribe me with a treat if you expect me to do tricks.
Arrival Story: Oh boy...I got him on a whim really. I was looking on the Humane Society website one morning and saw him on there. He looked so sad. I was going to wait a couple of years to get a dog, but I went up and visited him and he was just so darn sweet. Of course, he had just been neutered, so he was pretty subdued. Never would have guessed that he was a little devil inside. But, he is my little devil, and no matter how mad I get at him, I see his cute little face and I forgive him. He's really quite sweet...but once you get to know him you can see the cranks in his little brain turning...and it's all trouble!
Bio: I am one of those dogs who feels the grass is always greener on the other side. If I'm gated into the kitchen, I feel it would be better to be in the livingroom. If I'm in the livingroom, I'd rather be in the kitchen or a bedroom. I whine a lot to make my displeasure known. Also, I enjoy climbing on the kitchen table and just hanging out there.

I've Been On Dogster Since:
Well, well, well, I have been a bad little doggy in not updating my diary for quite some time. Shame on me. There is a lot to report too.
First of all, I got a new cousin. Her name is Ellie and she is a frenchie/pug mix. She is pretty cute, but a total pain because she wants to give me wet willies with her tongue all the time. I get kind of mad when she does that and she doesn't take a hint very well. I mean, who wants goo in their ears?! Anyway, the other kind of sucky thing about her is that she gets a lot of attention at the dog park because she is so cute. Boo! That means less attention for me. Oh well, it's nice to have another friend I guess, right?
Another new development is that I am now a vegetarian! I was kind of a stinker about it when mom told me she wanted me to go veg, but after she tried out about 2,344,595 different kinds of food, I finally found a couple I could stand so it's not all bad. Plus, I learned that I really like these carrot chew things - yum!
Well, I guess that's all for now. Keep it real, Dogster pups, and I'll check ya later!
xoxo,
Otis the vegetarian
So, I am happy to report that at the young age of 5, I have basically perfected my kissing strategy. Yes, I like to kiss strangers - I can't help it! They just look so kissable!
So this is how it works: when mom takes me on walks, we usually run into several other canines and their humans. I say hello to my dog friends with a good sniff to the butt, but then focus my attention on their human, because I will do pretty much anything for some affection. Anyway, when I go say hello to the human, usually she will bend over to pet me. I sit like a good boy until she's bent over (I'm tricky!), and then I thrust myself up at her face with my tongue out so that I can kiss her before she even knows what happened! If I miss the first time, I just keep hopping until I get her real good in the face. Nomnomnom!
For some reason, then all the humans always ask mommy if I'm still a puppy. HELLO, I AM A GROWN MAN. I have no idea why they would think I'm some kind of BABY. It's pretty rude if you ask me. Oh well, they just have tiny human brains, I guess I shouldn't take it so personally.
I'm sorry for the long absence, I have been quite busy as of late. A couple of weeks ago, mom took me to my grandma & grandpa's farm and we had quite the time! I got to go to a parade (my only complaint was that there weren't enough goats wearing hats in it), walked around town, played on the farm, and got lots of snuggling and treats from g-ma and g-pa. FUN TIMES. Then we had to come back to the stupid city where I don't get nearly enough free time outside - mom always has me on a leash. Stupid leash!
Today, for example, there was a delicious little bunny hopping around the yard and I totally could've eaten him if my mom didn't have me on a leash. She says "we don't eat bunnies" and she's right in that I don't get to eat them since she won't let me catch them, but I WOULD LIKE TO EAT ONE. Why doesn't she get that? Grrr.
My cousin Charlie is still a big pain in my butt, let me tell you. I've been standing up to him more lately which I think is good, but honestly I just can't handle his constant shenanigans! He is out of control, that one. Hopefully he'll learn to be as distinguished and well-behaved as yours truly someday. That is quite a tall order, however.
That's all for now, I've got to get back to watching my stories.
Peace out!
