Arrival Story:
Ryan and I drove to northern Virginia to pick her up the summer of 2007. We picked her from a litter of 4 puppies. We brought her back to my parents house in Fredericksburg, where she met her cousins, Forrest and Karl, both wired haired dachshunds. Then made the drive to Norfolk which is her new home.

My name is Layla and I live in Norfolk, VA I've spent most of the winter inside since I really don't like being cold. I'm kind of shy when it comes to other dogs but I loooove people. I play with my cousins Forest and Karl as much as I can but when it comes to the dog park I'm still kind of scared. I'm only 8 months old but I'm a tough cookie. I enjoy crawling over everything, being under the blanket, stealing laundry, ripping out every shoe soul I can get a hold of and I've recently decided that I'm a big bad guard dog. :)
