Janie's name was Dot or Dorothy when I found her. Must have been because she has a dot right on the top of her head. I named her after an old High School girlfriend.

Bill here,
Went I took the Rainbow picture of Janie, I was only thinking "what a nice scene"
Now as I think about it, maybe it has a deeper meaning.
With all the nice people adopting or fostering so many senior Bassets, it is inevitable that there are many losses reported on the Drool. I would like to think that in a small way this picture is a tribute to all who have gone before us .
In my mind, I picture it as Janie looking towards the Rainbow and praying for all the pups who have made their journey to the Bridge, Godspeed little friends, young and old, we'll all be reunited when our time comes.

The second picture was taken when I was looking out of the window and Bill was able to catch the rainbow on my nose. Too bad he's a lousey photographer.
