Arrival Story:
My family was going to Portland to see some family and we had always been interested in Bernese Mountain Dogs. They where so big,fluffy,and beautiful! We saw a sign that said "Pure bred show quality Bernese Mountain Dogs for sale" and said the phone number and address, so we went to have a look.It turned out that they had no puppies still for sale but about an hour before we came the breeders got a call about a puppy saying that he had a hernia (which you can fix!) and did'nt want the him.So right when we saw the pup we just fell in love, he had PERFECT markings,he was huge and fluffy, and he came to my dad and licked his face right away.He was every thing we ever wanted in a dog.So when we asked how much they said$1,250! That was a big price on a dog that no one wanted (who was named Stitch because he was like a outcast) but my dad said okay but they would have to hold the dog for a day and would come back with a check.So we went home and talked about it and said that we really wanted a dog and our old dog was getting up their and needed a pal.The next day we went and paid the woman selling the dogs and headed for home.On the way we named him Stuart Little because he was so small and cute! When he grew up nhe turned out the total oposite!We love Stuart and he will always be in the family!
