I have a Bionic Knee

I posted 3 pictures of me the day after my knee surgery. I had a TPLO surgery


For those of you that are not aware, this past March it snowed a lot here in Chicago. I love playing in the snow. I was running around the back yard with my boxer sister Mocha, and I hurt my knee. They took xrays and my hips are beautiful! My lab work also looked great.

Anyway, surgery was March 13th. I did really well. It's May now, and I am no longer limping. It's as if nothing has happened. Mom and dad give me physical therapy, and I am now walking. I am avoiding stairs, and if I have to go up and down a few stairs, Dad helps me with a harness.............

I want to thank everyone for being so caring and concerned.

Everyone has been really supportive to mom and I. We love our Bullmastiff friends, and we love dogster.

What a small world, she lives in Louisiana and I live in Chicago!

I can't wait! My cousins are coming over! I really can't wait to meet my favorite

aunt, I hear she's gorgeous, and has an infectious laugh! I'll have to wait a little

longer to meet my other uncle, then I get to see which of the uncles I love the best!

PAPI!!!!!!

I love my routine. I don't like surprises at all. I don't like thunder.

When I first got home, I was a big dog in a little dog's body.........I was

tough.........I would cuddle with Mami all the time, but since I was tough, I

didn't want Papi to know I was a softy, though I wanted to cuddle with him, I

had to show him I was "macho". Until one day, BOOM!!!! Thunder, oh no! The

thunder, I ran straight to Papi's arms. He's my protector. He protects me from

thunder............Since then Papi likes to say our relationship has grown, and it has. I am happy it has. Papi has helped me, and they do not "coo" me when it's thundering, because it just

reinforces my behavior.........I know what you are thinking, I'm a dog, how

can I possibly know that.........We'll it's because I am an intelligent dog with a big brain, I do know that. :)

I am a happy doggie, Papi always calls me a happy doggie. I love laying on the on Papi's legs, he loves it! He loves his routine also......So if one night I don't lay on his legs, he would feel lost....So I make sure, Every night, when Papi goes to bed, I make sure to collapse on his legs.......his legs are my pillow.


I love my routine. Daddy gives me my NuVet in the morning along with my joint supplements. If mommy tries to give me my joint supplement in the evening, I won't eat it. Like I said, I have my own routine.

I can't wait till Papi gets home, I want to wish him a big Happy Valentine's Day......

When Papi gets home from work, I run to my room and jump on my bed and wait

till he gets there. I hate waiting for Papi to get settled before he greets me, but I

have to follow the rules. So, I pretend to wait patiently on the bed, until Papi is

ready to say hi to me.

Finally! He's done saying hi to Mommy! Now it's my turn! I've patiently waited,

now Papi gives me a big hug and kiss. Then rubs my belly and he starts

to Carress me for a pretty long time, sometimes mami has to wait till papi is done spending quality time with me before Papi goes and eats dinner with her..........

I melt in his arms, now I know why Mami and Mocha (my

boxer sister) melt in his arms also.

I make a sound, like a grunt or a growl......but

its because I love being pampered by Papi. Papi is my protector, and he loves me soooooooooooooooooooooo much because I protect the house, and I protect my mami and my sister Mocha.



Diary, don't tell anyone because I AM tough, and STRANGERS have to know that I am A fearless protecter, I don't want Strangers to know that I am a big softey................

Pawple here are so kind. I have received gifts galore! Hearts, and rosettes. I'm

still trying to figure this out, and trying to figure out how I can make my page look

Snow Fall!

Dear Diary,

I love the snow! Mommy Dresses up in her snow suit, and we go outside and we

make doggie angels! Mommy makes snow angels! My sister, Mocha, a Boxer, Has

to dress up in boots and a coat because she's got a short coat, and she doesn't like

the cold weather. She wants to go inside right away when we go out for a walk, or

when we play outside. I love playing with my sister.

My paw prints are huge! Mommy and Daddy Loves them!

I have to go potty! I have to tell Mommy and Daddy, (they are smart I think they know that I act I' have to go potty, but really, I just want to play in the snow!)I'll write more later!
