Dear Belle,
It has been 3 months today since you left us. It is still hard to believe how much can change in just one hour.

Donald is really missing you Sweetie. He was talking a couple of days ago about how there seems to be a pattern. How he had his kitty Joshua and Mary Beth had his fur-bro Samson. Joshua left for the bridge before Samson did.

Then they shared the care of Nakoma, until we brought Simba home to live with us. Simba became his girl and Nakoma was Mary Beth’s. Simba left for the bridge in 2005.

After Nakoma had pups, Donald picked out Bear for his and Mary Beth chose Slippers. Bear died from parvo at 10 weeks, while our Sweet Slippers survived. Then we found you Sweetie, and Donald loved you dearly. Now you have left him also.

Donald is hurting right now. The others do keep him on his toes. He loves them so much, but he still has that empty spot that belonged to you and will always be yours.

I have noticed that we are spending more time with your furblings now. If there is one positive speck from loosing
you, it is that we once again realized just how short the time is that we are blessed to be with our furbabes.
