This afternoon mum took me down to the beach to finally get my picture for a photography group challenge. The group is on flickr and is called 52 weeks for dogs, you have to take a photo of your dog every week for the whole year. The challenge this week was black and white outdoors.
So down to the beach we went, it's my favourite place to go. Swimming was so much fun and rolling in the sand afterwards was even more fun!
Today mum saw me do something that I have never ever done before and she's had me for a while now, I've also been to the beach hundreds of times. I had just come out of the ocean and was about to roll in the sand like usual when I smelt something in a tiny hole in the sand. Mum saw me sniffing and then I started digging. After digging a little I stuck my nose around in the sand sniffing. Mum had no clue what I was looking for but she just watched. Then suddenly a huge crab came running out of the hole I had dug and ran into the ocean. I got so excited and tried running after it and then searching for it afterwards.
Mum was amazed that I was able to smell a crab that far down in the sand and dig it up. I dug up 3 crabs in just 20 minutes but I never caught any of them. Mum was just laughing at me the whole time, she thought it would have been interesting if on managed to pinch me but none did, they just ran away.
