Just then mum threw the crust of her bread to me like she always does only it went behind the door. We have an ant problem so in all the corners we have ant poison, well it happened to land next to that and when I ran across the room Shandi whad swallowed the bread and was about to swallow the poison. It was inside a plastic case but she bit that and cracked it so I know she ingested some of it. I did pull it out of her mouth though. I just hope it doesnt turn serious...

TERRO® Liquid Ant Bait is a sweet food based product similar to pancake
syrup combined with Borax. Borax is a mineral that is mined in the desert
in California and is a common active ingredient that is used in soap
products such as 20 Mule Team Borax.
The product kills ants but will not harm people or pets. If you spill some
on your skin there will be no reaction at all. Simply wash with warm water.
Pets occasionally find the Terro and eat it. Our advice when this happens
is to do nothing at all. The product is not toxic enough to cause a problem
and the pet will be just fine. No, I dont think we have that product in Australia. It was a Mortein product. We don't think you have to worry eather because it happen to me one time and everything was fine. It was a little plasic case and the ingredient in it was peanut butter base. It don't take a big amount to kill a ant but Shandi is kind of a lot more bigger !!! Did you make a call to the vet, they would reassure you better than me.
