Likes: Maddie likes treats. Arrival Story: Maddie was a shelter dog that came to me when Chesapeake Bay Retriever Relief & Rescue -- www.cbrrescue.org -- got her. Bio: Maddie was one of my first fosters. She came to me weighing less than 40 lbs. yet she was full grown. She had worms and mange and was in terrible shape.
I am happy that her new owners looked past her dibilitating state and found the beauty within. She's now gained the weight she needed, the mange is under control and this "ugly duckling" is now a "beautiful swan." I cannot thank her new owners enough for taking a chance on her.
