WOW! Yesterday I took a ride in a car and it was so fun. However, I had to have a bath before I left the SPCA and I didn't care too much for the blow dryer. When I got to the new place, it is beautiful. My new mommy and daddy are great. I felt right at home. They even let me get on the couch!
My new family member dogs, Puppy and Princess, aren't sure what to think of me. Puppy is a male and he followed me around whining. I just sort of ignored him until he tried to eat food and then I told him who was boss!
The yard is great! Lots of new smells. There are woods all around. There is this tarp thing that I tried to run across that I decided I shouldn't do that again. My mommy said it is an inground swimming pool. I wonder if I will like to swim in it in the summer?
The new place has lots of windows and I have loved going around looking out the windows. So far, live is good. I only spent a short time at the SPCA, but it is nice being free again and my new family is going to be great!

Mommy went to Food Pyramid and bought me some new toys. She saw me batting around a ping pong ball and thought I needed a new toy. She found a little red ball but it didn't last long, it wasn't very hard and it lost its air.
So, Mommy brought home a tug-0-war rope, a new bright yellow ball, and a stuffed duck, which she calls "baby." I LOVE my baby. It "used" to squeak.
Mommy throws it down our long hall and I love to run and get it. Sometimes I like to trick Mommy and pretend like I'm going to bring it back to her, but I sneak around the couch and tease her with it.
Anyway, I've chewed on Baby and it already has a hole in it, but I love to carry it around. It is better than the rope or the ball. I don't want Puppy to have it, either. But, he doesn't seem too interested in it, anyway.
Sometimes, Mommy and I play tug-o-war with Baby and Mommy fake growls at me. It's kind of funny hearing a human growl. I know she is just playing with me.
Life is good in my new home! I am having so much fun!

I had an exciting experience last week. My mom and dad took me for a ride in the car without Puppy and Princess. We went to this big building and there were TONS of other dogs everywhere. I kept pulling on my leash because I wanted to go and smell everybody! Mom wouldn't let me though, it seemed to be against the rules. It turns out that I was at Doggie School (i.e. obedience training).
There was two German Shepherds in my class and one that was really nervous. She kept barking, which was also against the rules. One dog was in a crate. Once in a while he got to come out and show off stuff to us. He was a Rhodesian Ridgeback and was a lot of fun. He and his dad did a lot of cool stuff.
One thing mom tried to do was lay me in her lap, which was kind of awkward. She tried to bribe me with human hot dogs, but I didn't care much for them. I did like the cheese she had. We practiced sitting too.
I think it will be a lot of fun. Mom is practicing with me some of the things we learned. But, she is using my new porcupine baby for rewards and I love it! I even learned about "lay." I can't wait to go back!
