Eventually we had a few get togethers. At first Brody didn't like him but the second time he loved him!! He is a great boy!! Bio: He was chipped!! Wilson was adopted by a trucker down in Alabama. On his route back home to Illinois he escaped from the truck in NJ. The trucker did not want to return for the dog and released him for adoption. The wonderful people at the Pet Rescue of Mercer saved him from the shelter and now he is home with us!! Forums Motto: It is MINE!!!!! Mom scoured the interweb and found a different kind of harness to try! It is coming to New Jersey all the way from Australia!! These ladies, Kate & Lou-Ann, have a great website for it! Pass the word around and I will let you know my progress with it through video and my diary of course. Mom can not wait until it comes! As it turns out my Gentle Leader is hurting my jaw and made me stop eating crunchy food. After not having it on for seven days I am back to normal. Mom still has to put it on me to get me in and out of the campground on weekends but that is it. She has Lyme's disease and her knees get really sore and my pulling on a normal harness is not helping. :(
I forgot to mention I had a DNA test a few weeks ago. The results came back as Mostly Rottie and a little Collie and Standard Poodle!! We did the blood type test they do at the vet. "Wisdom Panel"
Mom loves knowing what I am and says it was definitely worth the money!!!
Well Linda the Dog trainer came over again for another round. Mom was thinking I am a lost cause lately. Last week while waiting to see the vet a dog came through the door and I went into killer mode. Mom had me cornered and a good hold on me but I still scared the crap (literally) out of the dog and his owner. Well the owner did not poop but the dog dropped a poop right there! Mom was feeling so bad and did not even get a chance to apologize. How embarrassing for her. But I thought I had to protect her? Then last night we all went for a walk on a quiet trail and I barked the whole walk. I was really nervouse even after 2mg of xanex! Mom is going to talk to the vet about trying something else because these do nothing. Back to training, Linda said mom now has to change the tone. Instead of being sweet it is time to be the boss no matter what. So we worked on how to grab me when a car is coming and what to do when I start getting nervous. I did better! The cheese is a nice plus too. Mom never imagined having such a difficult dog. I am glad she loves me and will never give up. Dad on the other hand would have gave me back to the rescue. It is not that he doesn't love me it is that he has no patience. Thank god for MOM!!
Last night when mom and dad had my brother and sister out for a walk a big rottie girl jumped her fence and ran up to Emma. Dad almost had a heart attack! Mom stayed calm and the dogs mommy came running out to get her. Nothing happened, just the hair went up. Mom was amazed how scared dad got! They are really glad it did not happen when they were walking me because I would have started a fight. The rottie girl was just a pup her mom said. That would have been very very bad. Mom thought she was a beauty!! Dad thought she was "BIG". BOL
