Exit 38

This weekend was awesome! We got to go outside and play! Mom and dad took us to the Mountains at a place called "exit 38" to go rock climbing! Why you would want to climb rock, I'll never understand - but there were soooooo many good smells! And it was a fun hike! Mom has to keep me on the leash though because she says my ears turn off when my nose turns on.... I disagree, but guess we'll never find out! :( I got jealous towards the end of the day because all the other dogs (our friends brought 3) were all off-leash the entire time. CHEESE BALLS! Why not me?? Hm. And somebody tell mom to shorten the straps on my backpack. I kept stepping on them and it made my backpack lopsided! Yikes! Next weekend we're off to Deutschtown! (AKA: Leavenworth)

WATER!!!! WATER WATER WATER WATER WATER!!!!

OHH!!! It was such a good week! Mom took me to the beach, and it was so much fun!! i wish the water was a little warmer... I'm not used to this polar ice melt or something - even mom had a hard time getting in and she has swam in glacial water too! Who would have thunk the Puget Sound could be so cold?!? But I did some swimming despite my lab sister (aren't they supposed to love water????) was afraid of the waves!!! I guess Tundra just lives on through her. She probably warned her about how the waves move not to long before she unfortunately and suddenly departed from us. It was quite funny though!! At least mom and I will get to go swimming together!! YEAH! :)

Please see www.siberiansneedingowners.org for more then the information I will give here. Recently, WA was flooded with a couple husky puppy mills (~40+ pups) that were in such poor shape, estimates for vet bills are around 40-50 THOUSAND. Not to mention most of the rescues are pretty much at capacity to begin with. They are in financial need right now to get these starving pups back to normal, as most are starved, sick and many are injured. Anything you can do to help would be appreciated!!! Rain rain go away... WAIT!

Unless you bring snow. Then you can come all you want. We actually got some powder the other day - but NOT ENOUGH!!! When is the weather going to learn - huskies need snow. And I haven't got hardly ANY since I moved here. Luckily, one of the places my parents are looking at moving will give me some good snow for the winter (although, I'm not looking forward to the summers with my black coat)! It'll be okay though - I've been in warmer places I'm sure! Besides - this rain - is totally bad for my hair-do that I spend ALL MORNING getting clean and ready for the day. Hm. We'll be moving from a place that gets 10" of rain a month during the winter to 4"... I could definitely get used to less rain and MORE SNOW!
