When I am gone

When I am gone...release me, let me go
I have so many things to see and do.
You mustn't tie yourself to me with tears
Be thankful for our beautiful years.

I gave to you my love. You can only guess
How much you gave to me in happiness.
I thank you for the love each of you have shown
But now it's time that I traveled on alone.

So grieve a while for me if grieve you must
Then let your grief be confronted in trust
It's only for a short time that we must part
So cherish the moments locked within your heart.

I won't be far away for life does go on
So if you need me, call and I will come.
Though you can't see me or touch me, I'll be near
And if you listen with your heart, you'll hear
All my love around you, soft and clear.

And then when you must come this way alone,
I'll be waiting to greet you with a smile,
and say "Welcome home".

It has been a year this week.....

Right now we are in a different place,
And though we seem apart,
We're closer than we ever was...
We arethere inside your heart.

We are with you when you greet each day
And while the sun shines bright,
We are there to share the sunsets, too...
We are with you every night.

We are with you when the times are good,
To share a laugh or two,
And if a tear should start to fall,,,
We will still be there for you.

And when that day arrives
That we no longer are apart,
We will smile and hold you close to us...
Forever in our heart.

My sweet angel has been a year this week that I lost you. My heart still breaks, my eyes still leak. I am really not sure how I am going to make it through this week. They say time heals all pain...not for me. I think about you all every day...every morning I look at your pictures, every night I talk to you. You will always be heart, my soul, my forever dogs. Things were not fair for us..our time was too short. I would give anything to bring you all back. Some say God only chooses the best and he certainly did that when he picked you 4. I love you my heart you will stay until the day we meet again...

Christmas at Rainbow Bridge

As the midnight hour approaches on Christmas Eve, a tremendous celebration begins. If you listen closely you will hear the exuberant sound of Bridgekids preparing for the remarkable moment that comes but once a year. Puppies romp through the tall green grass, chasing butterflies and rolling over and over until fits of giggles bring them to a tumbling stop. The volume increases as kittens, cats, tigers and lions purr in pure delight while the wings of snow white doves gently caress the air. The babbling brook that runs beneath Rainbow Bridge overflows onto the edge of mossy banks and fins of treasured aquatic life quiver in anticipation of this most joyous event. Nestled in the midst of this happy choir of Bridgekids are the littlest angel tots staring in awe at the majestic Christmas tree adorned with flowing strands of angel hair. Effervescent, twinkling stars seesaw elegantly from the sky and land in glorious harmony upon the stoic limbs of Heaven's most perfect Christmas tree. Swaying to and fro in nearby rocking chairs are grandmothers, grandfathers, parents, aunts, uncles and loved ones. The sound of their whispered lullabies permeate the air as they sing to tiny angel babies resting quietly in their arms.

Like magic the clock approaches midnight and a great stirring is heard in the distance. Each Bridgekid stops and listens, knowing the time is near, and they choose a fleecy cloud on which to snuggle. The roar of purrs drops to barely an audible hum, the babbling brook ripples hypnotically and the flutter of downy feathered wings fall silent. Heaven's spirited toddlers climb expectantly upon the laps of angels while babies coo in tranquil unison.

Amidst the warm glow of candle light which rises from the earth below, the arms of the Bridge Keeper envelop the heavens and into the precious hands of each child and in front of each animal a holy gift is placed. With grand exuberance the ribbons are removed and left to fly on a tender breeze where they dissolve into showers of angel dust. As the golden lids of these heavenly gifts are raised, an amazing aura fills the sky, reaching down to the very core of the earth. Ascending from each and every box is the greatest gift of all…unending, unconditional, all-encompassing love. This blessed love gently wraps itself around the cherished souls of heaven, warming their hearts with beacons of radiant light and bringing forth from angels an exquisite chorus. As the clock strikes midnight the distance between heaven and earth is vanished. It is at this very moment on Christmas Eve that the Bridge Keeper, His children, angels and Bridgekids send a message to their earthly loved ones on the wings of this unbridled love.

Listening carefully with an open heart we will hear the familiar voice of our own angel whisper softly into our ear their Christmas message..."Let me share with you this love of mine, always and forever. When you need me know that I am here. I have not left you for I am in your heart where I belong. Our love is eternal as is the brilliant glow of candlelight which illuminates the path to the heavens and Rainbow Bridge. I wait patiently as do you for our inevitable and glorious reunion. I love you, I love you, I love you."

We was Tagged!!!!

We were tagged by Angel Roman
We are supposed to list 7 interesting things about ourselves that other pups may want to know. Or we were told we could mix it up a bit and do something different. Then we are supposed to tag 7 pups and ask them to do the same - then send them either a rosette or pmail telling them they are tagged.
OK- well Angel Roman decided to list 7 things he loved, detested and some interesting facts ... we were not with Mommy that long however...we will try our best to mix it up a little!!

1. We both absolutely LOVED our Mommy....she was always with us!

2. I ( Bear) did not like kitty time I was outside with Mommy and I was playing with one of the kitties...well it went under a bush so I tried to follow and you know what???? That darn kitty scratched my nose real bad...and I decided right then I would not be furiends with that kitty again!

3. Every time Mommy was in the kitchen cooking Bambi would jump and jump and jump...all the way up to Mommy's hips until she picked him up and let him see what she was cooking....we knew we were gonna get some , but Bambi always had to see.

4. Mommy would always tell me ( Bear) to give her " Kisses in the mouth" and I would...every single time!! Mommy would always kiss me ( Bambi) on the neck and I would take my front paws and hide / rub my eyes and nose...Mommy called it " Bringing out the cuteness"...and boy oh and Bear both were TOO cute..bol!!

5. We both loved our blankies..we had a bunch in the living room on the couch and we slept under the blankies in bed with Mommy. Bambi would sleep on Mommy's right side and I would sleep on her left side...Mommy said we were better than any old heating blanket could ever be!!

6. We were not allowed outside without Mommy, we remember once Mommy took us out while she worked in the flower bed. There is a big fish pond in the middle of it...well me and Bear decided to get nosy and fell in!! Boy...we don't know who was more scared...the fish or us...BOL!!!

7. We were Mommy's fur soul mates...her heart...her joy...her love of all time!! We visit Mommy from time to time from the bridge, sometimes in her dreams other times she hears us following behind her...we have hardwood floors and our toemnails clack on them!! Mommy loves our little visits, she knows we are happy and watching and waiting for her....We love you Mommy!!!

Well, that is what we can think of, not that interesting but we loved it!! We loved life with Mommy!! So now we must tag 7 of our furiends...we think we will tag all angels too...that is what Angel Roman did and we are glad he included us!!!!

Ok we are going to tag:
Jazzy and D-Day....

Hut one..hut two...We got the pigskin handed off to us by our goodpal Beezer. Here are the rules: we are gett'n our "team" together and we're gonna cross that line and make us a touchdown! Before the ref raises his boney little arms to signal the 6 points we gotta spill the beans (pffht..excuse me!) about ourselves and then pass the ball to 5 of our furiends who will each do the same. Don't forget to leave us a bone to let us know you got our hand signals and you're in the "game.

Are you ready...I'm going out for a long pass.........

1) We both LOVED cheese and fruit!

2) We each had our favorite toy...mine was a rainbow bone with squeeks in the ends and Bambi's was a frog with a squeek on a rope...Mommy let us bring them to the bridge.

3) I was a bit bigger than Bambi, but he could jump way higher!

4) We had our own dog beds in the living room...but we just played in them, when it was nap time we got on the couch with Mommy.

5) We would race Mommy to bed each night, I ( Bear) would always look back to see how far behind she was.

Okay, who is gonna run it in for a about:

Jazzy & D-Day

We are off to leave Beezer some bones now since he was good enough to include us in his game...we hope those bones make him feel better!!!

God's Garden

God's Garden

God looked around His garden
And He found an empty place
He then looked down upon the earth
And saw your precious face

He put His arms around you
And lifted you to rest;
God' s Garden must be beautiful
He always takes the best.

He knew that you were suffering
He knew you were in pain
He knew you' d never ever
Get well on earth again.

So He closed your weary eyelids
And whispered " Peace be thine "
Then He took you up to Heaven
With Hands so gentle and kind.

It broke our hearts to lose you
But you did not go alone,
For part of us went with you
The day God welcomed you home.

Letter from the bridge

A Letter From Your Pet In Heaven

To my dearest family,
some things I'd like to say.
But first of all, to let you know,
that I arrived okay.
I'm writing this from the Bridge.
Here I dwell with God above.
Here there's no more tears of sadness.
Here is just eternal love.
Please do not be unhappy
just because I'm out of sight.
Remember that I am with you
every morning, noon and night.
That day I had to leave you
when my life on earth was through,
God picked me up and hugged me
and He said, "I welcome you.
It's good to have you back again,
you were missed while you were gone.
As for your dearest family,
They'll be here later on."
God gave me a list of things,
that he wished for me to do.
And foremost on the list,
was to watch and care for you.
And when you lie in bed at night
the day's chores put to flight,
God and I are closest to you...
in the middle of the night.
When you think of my life on earth,
and all those loving years,
because you are only human,
they are bound to bring you tears.
But do not be afraid to cry:
it does relieve the pain.
Remember there would be no flowers,
unless there was some rain.
I wish that I could tell you
all that God has planned.
If I were to tell you,
you wouldn't understand.
But one thing is for certain,
though my life on earth is o'er.
I'm closer to you now,
than I ever was before.
There are rocky roads ahead of you
and many hills to climb;
But together we can do it
by taking one day at a time.
It was always my philosophy
and I'd like it for you too;
That as you give unto the world,
the world will give to you.
If you can help somebody
who's in sorrow and pain;
Then you can say to God at night...
"My day was not in vain."
And now I am contented...
that my life was worthwhile.
Knowing as I passed along
I made somebody smile.
God says: "If you meet somebody
who is sad and feeling low;
Just lend a hand to pick him up,
as on your way you go.
When you're walking down the street
with me on your mind;
I'm walking in your footsteps
only half a step behind."
"And when it's time for you to go...
from that body to be free.
Remember you're not going...
you're coming here to me."

Heaven's Gate

Hi sweet babies...

It has been awhile since I wrote in your diary. I am still missing you each and everyday, yesterday was one of those days where I just sat and cried. I miss you so much! It is on these days I search for poetry and found this one ...

Now you sit at Heaven's gate ,
wagging your tail, you patiently wait
until the time we meet again...
When I have reached my journey's end.

How I cried when you left that day,
you weren't here to lick the tears away-
time will heal, my heart will mend;
Tho' you are missed my beloved friend.

I have peace in knowing what lies in store,
When I find myself at Heaven's door
My tears of joy shall fall that day...
and you will be there to lick my tears away.

I know this is what we have to look forward to, we WILL meet again at Heaven's Door. Right after I found this poem , Bear, I saw you ....just as plain as day standing at bottom of the pet stairs leading up to heart jumped and an overwehlming feeling of your love came over me...I actually had goose bumps! I know this was your way of saying I was suppose to find this poem and your way of telling me you are waiting at Heaven's Gate....

I love and miss you both...
