Yes, tears of joy at seeing a special memorial tribute to me by Nikki Moustaki on her Pet Postcard Project site. Ms. Nikki also lost a special furiend; her African Grey Parrot, but he's okay now cuz I saw Hope flying around up here at the bridge.
Aaarooooo....aaarrooooo from Doggie Heaven. This is mom's first birthday without Sheba and me since we adopted her so we gotta bark real loud so she knows we haven't forgot her special day. Yesterday she found out what I actually had growing inside me. The pathology report determined it was a "malignant histiocytosis" which according to the vet is a terminal cancer that's very aggressive and doesn't respond well to chemotherapy. Mom's relieved she didn't agree to put me on the chemo after all, but she's still sad wondering how this happened to me; the picture of health, cuz she looked that up and it appears it's a disease which is very rare in most breeds except the Bernese Mountain Dog.

Happy Birthday to your Mom I just know you and Sheba are sprinkling her with extra special angel dust on this very special day. That is a beautiful tribute to you Mr. Spike! Ernie & Mom are very sad about the birdie. We telled Nikki about our Budha Boy. He did not tell us he was sick at all, just got sick in about an hour and died. Appawrently Birdies hides that they is sick so predators don't prey on them cause they is weak, but unfurtunately, then the pawrents don't knows that they need the help until it are too late. Mom still misses our Budha Boy. He were 12 years old when he died. Hi, Spike -

Love,Kady What an awesome tribute to you Spike. That disease sounds horrible. I'm so glad your mom did the right thing for you. I know it was very hard for her and she's had a tough time with you and Sheba gone but we all love her and are trying to pray peace and comfort into her heart. Your barks from heaven will surely help ... throw in lots of angel dust too if you can.
