Mom picked up my ashes today. She hasn't done anything productive all day long...just sitting at that computer screen wishing I was there. She wants to know what happened...why did me and Sheba both get cancer within a few months of each other. There must be some answers, but it doesn't seem like vets or anyone else is interested in these things like they are when something happens to hoomans.
Yesterday mom got two cards in the mail; one from my holistic vet's office and one from the referral center in Mandeville. The words written inside made mom cry, but also brought her a little comfort. One of the dogtors words said I stayed around a lot longer than she expected, but she wrote she knows it doesn't make my family feel any better right now and they should focus on all the great years they had with me and all the funny happy memories I left behind. She went on to say my family gave me a great life and I was lucky to have them and vice versa. Mom was deeply touched by the pawsonal notes written inside the cards.
Today mom got another nice card from my gurlfuriend Kady and her mom. It was so touching and I seen mom crying some more. It's been a rough day for her, but she keeps telling everyone she will get by. It's not fair God had to call me home so soon after he took Sheba. Why didn't he let me stay with mom a few more years? Especially when she prayed so hard every night for a miracle to happen.
On this sad day for mom I'm still celebrating my twin buddy Ernie George. I hope he had the bestest barkday ever!

I am sorry that your Mama is in the pains. Ernie knowed you cannot enjoy the beeyootifulll heavens so much when your Mama is so sad. It will take her some time.
My Mama told me that some years are just bad years. She said she had a run of bad years, where losses just kept piling up until she didn't think her hearts could take it anymore, but evenchewurally, evfun though she NEVFUR thought there was nuthin to look forward to no more...she kept going and day by day the sad got a little bit less. So don't worry. Your Mama SUPERCREDIBLE PAWTASTICK lady...she gonna get through this. Send Scooter & Bella a little reminder. They need to pesterer your Mama more...bark at her a lot and make her play with them and take thems for walks!

My barkday was pawesome! DID YOU SEE MY HORSIE? I'm gonna be a cowboy full time when I get 9 years old. Hey Spike, I'm glad you're back home with Mom.
Dad is often comforted by Cookie's and Rosie's ashes. Dear Spike, it's really hard on our hoomans when we leave them. My mom has been talking about you and how sad your mom must be feeling right now. It makes me sad when she's sad but I understand. It isn't fair that God took you so soon after Sheba. When she meets you and Sheba at the bridge, she'll understand God's ways and will be filled with so much love it'll make up for all the hardship here. My mom and me are praying for your mom. It was really nice of the dogters to send personal notes to your mom. That's cuz she's such a wonderful mama and they saw that and feel bad for her loss. When you can, you should try to send your mom a message so she knows you're doing great where you are and that you'll always be with her.
