Fenny is a simple cutie pie and he knows it. And he doesn't take any guff from anyone bigger than him. He is a big dog in a little body and whenever we go the beach or the doggy park he lays down the law with the bigger dogs and keeps an eye out for his big sister Mtookah. He needs a girlfriend. So if their is Shayna Maidel out there, please send him an email.

I did a Mitzvah

The other day we had to go the carwash. Poppa and me and M'tookah were sitting in the waiting area as they washed our car. An older man sat down next to Poppa and began to talk to him. He told him the he recently had to send his doggy to Heaven. I felt sad for him. So I picked myself up all by myself and sat next to the man and let him pet me. As he gently caressed my ears, I looked over at Poppa with my sad sweet eyes. For just a little moment I hoped I help this nice man feel a little comfort and remember is doggy. Poppa told me that I just did a Mitzvah...a good deed. It felt nice.

Singing Sirens and a Doggy Prayer

Sometimes we hear sirens going by our house. They are loud and each makes a unique sound. Some are slow sounding others are faster. OOOOO AHHHH OOOO AHHH. Or WEEEweeeee Weeee! Or UUUUUUWeeeee UUUUUweeee.

When I hear them I like to join in and pretend that I can make the same sounds. I start to howl in my high pitched voice. Then my sister M'tookah joins in and we howl together. Then my Poppa sometimes starts doing it too. And it's weird, because he is not a dog. And after the siren has passed by and is long gone my Poppa keeps howling. He doesn't understand I guess.

Because when we do it we are singing a prayer that says "may the life savers save the lives they are protecting." When Poppa does it...he's just trying to be cute.

So whenever you hear a siren, say a prayer for the rescuers and the rescued.

I did a booboo

The other day my Poppa was getting us ready for our morning walk. He opened the bedroom door and I dashed down the hall and ran right for my doggy door. But I stopped quickly as I saw it was raining outside. So I couldn't help it and liftd my leg and peepeed on the plant next too me.

My Poppa yelled at me and I ran behind the couch to hide. He was not happy. Afterall we were about to go for our walk where I could go potty anywhere I wanted. I just couldn't hold it in.

Poppa was so angry he made me wear my raincoat on the walk. I do not like wearing that thing because I look silly in it and I know other dogs in our complex are just snickering at me when we pass their homes. I just know it! So I was scowling at my Poppa the whole time on our walk! I do not potty in the house all the time, it was just an accident.

Maybe my Poppa will have to get up earlier.

And I hate that yellow raincoat!
