My wife and I had been looking for a dog for me for a while. We already had Gomez, but that was her dog, and now that we had a new house, we now had the room to find a dog for me. We'd been to adoption days, but we couldn't decide. Then, one Saturday, while my wife was out of town, I decided to entertain myself by going to a dog adoption event at a Petco. There were these two furry black pups with a white blaze. They were making themselves as "flat" as possible and looking up at passers by as if to say, "Take me somewhere I can sleep." I quickly called Laura, went home and got Gomez, and adopted him on the spot. He's turned into my best friend in the world, and an all around smart, fast, well-rounded and well-adjusted dog.
