Arrival Story:
lodi was actually bought from a pet store. After looking on line for a couple months to rescue a lab, we realized that no shelter would probably allow us to adopt, as we did not fit a lot of the critria. We were renters(with permission to have a dog) we didn't have a fenced yard, we hadn't had any other pets together, so we didn't have a vet for references. So after searching the classifieds for weeks we finally found an ad for chocolate lab pups. When we called we found out it was a pet store and they had one 9 week old female still available and they would not hold her over the phone. With only a couple of hours till the store closed Dave raced to the store that is about an hour away. Dave says that Lodi sat up and looked right at him as soon as he walked in the store and he knew she was the one, even though there was another chocolate lab in the cage with her. The name Lodi was decided on because both Dave and I love wine. In particular California reds. Lodi is a town and wine region in California that produces some great zinfandels.

Lodi is a great dog, almost too smart. She was quick to learn tricks and how to get what she wants. She turned out to be such a great dog that we are thinking about breeding her.

All I want to do these days is eat and sleep. Slowly my energy is coming back and I will play with Hudson for a little bit, but being a mom is hard work. My babies will be 2 weeks old tomorrow, man are they getting big fast. All but one pup has their eyes open. My biggest boy is being stubborn and doesn't want to open his. I know I'm in trouble soon, the puppies have started to push themselves up are their little wobbly legs. By next week they should be alot more active!

Well I proved to Sharon and Dave that the vet is a quack. On March 16th I gifted them with 9 beautiful puppies. I think I'm being a good mommy, and Sharon and Dave tell me I am. The pups will be a week old tomorrow, unfortunately we lost one but all the rest are growing quickly, and doing great. Sharon says she going to add some pics of them to my page, with me of course.

Sharon and Dave still think that all signs say I'm pregnant. The vet appointment got canceled because of snow. So were going this week. I should be almost 40 days so they should probably find out for sure. My appettite definitely came back, I can't get enough food. And well not to be indelicate but my nips have gotten huge, and i have gained an 1/4 to a 1/2 an inch a day for the last 5 days. Dave and Sharon say they will keep everyone up to date.
