Arrival Story:
Shae was born in Ireland, and known as Fresh Glory on the Green Isle. She came to the US and raced as Deerfield Joke, first in Florida, then New Hampshire, and was placed into an adoptive home. Her home was a bad situation: lots of yelling, reputed abuse. Fortunately, she was returned to Lincoln Greyhound Adoption Program (LGAP) where she chose my then 3 y.o. stepdaughter as her new guardian. In December 2007, Shae was allowed to run to the Rainbow Bridge: she slipped away quietly, on her own bed. We had Miss Shae-Leigh for more than 8 years, the longest any greyhound has lived in our home.

Shae was sneaky and adorable. She firmly believed that you must adore her, at all times.
