Arrival Story:
I have wanted a Corgi for about three years (before that I had never even seen or heard of a Corgi). My boyfriend (when we were first dating) told me that he liked Corgi's and when I didn't know what one was he showed me a picture and I thought it was the cutest kind of dog that I had ever seen. He had wanted one for a long time because he used to watch that Cowboy Bebop show that has a Corgi named Ein on it. Last year we decided to finally start looking for our Corgi. I came across Waeryn's breeder's website when Waeryn was 4wks old. I requested more pictures and fell in love with her. After asking MANY questions of the breeder I sent in my deposit to hold her until she was 8wks old. We had already decided on a name, so the breeder started calling her Waeryn at 4wks of age. She sent lot's of pictures and was always there to answer any questions I had. FINALLY it was time to go pick her up!!! The breeder met us half way which was SO nice of her as I was willing to drive the whole way. We decided on a place and time to meet. I was anxious the whole car ride and could barely sit still and to make things worse we got there a little early so we had to wait some more. We had forgot to describe eachother's vehicles to eachother so we didn't really know who to look for, so we got out of the car and tried to make it look like we were looking for someone (haha). In the distance someone was walking a Corgi so we tried to get a closer look. That was how the breeder noticed us...she saw that we were interested in that other person's Corgi. She walked us over to where she had parked, opened the back, opened the crate....and pulled out the most adorable puppy I have ever seen in my life. She held her for a second for so I could see her, then I said "Waeryn" and her ears (still floppy) perked up and she tried to JUMP into my arms and started licking my face. I know she had no idea who I was but it FELT like she did, that she was just as excited to go home with me as I was to take her home.

Puppy Classes

For Christmas my grandma paid for puppy classes for me, Mommy, and Daddy to go to together. Last Tuesday was my first class and tonight was my second. I had a lot more fun tonight because the teacher ladies split the class in half. It was a lot more easy for me to pay attention to Mommy when they're weren't as many dogs. The first week I was too excited, I kept barking alot (I just couldn't help myself!) Last week we practiced "sit" and "down" which was pretty easy because I already knew those ones. We also did something called the "name game" which is where Mommy says my name and I'm supposed to look at her right away. That was easy too, because I almost always look at Mommy when she says my name. Tonight Mommy was happy because I hardly barked at all and she said I did a really good job. The dog sitting next to me is named Joe and I really like him. He's a lot bigger than me, but we're still friends. When I was on my leash I kept trying to go visit him, but the humans said I had to wait until recess for that. Tonight we practiced everything we learned last week a little bit but we also did new things like "watch me" which is where I have to look at Mommy's eyes, and "heel" and "come." FINALLY at the end they let us have recess and I got to go play with Joe. I was glad they let me play with the big dogs because for some reason people usually think I'm little, but I'm NOT little! Joe was a little scary when he was off his leash, but I didn't stay scared of him for long. There was also a Husky that I played with named TuTonka that was fun to play with, but he kept stepping right on top of me! One time I was trying to back away from TuTonka's paw and I ended up going right between Joe's legs! I had TONS of fun tonight and I cant wait until next week!
