I am so sorry for your loss of your gorgeous dog! I have just lost my Gabby - a Jack Russell Terrier after a lengthy illness. I am trying to find a memorial to give her on Dogster. I have searched the site and found that many dogs as yours has passed over the Rainbow Bridge. I cannot find a memorial to give to Gabby.
I am sure I am missing something somewhere.
If you don't mind- could you lead me to a site on Dogster first and then elsewhere so that I can memorialize Gabby on Dogster?
Thank you so much,
Gabby's Mom, Jerry
So sorry to hear about the loss of your beloved Gabby. Yes, it it so very hard to lose our beloved dogs. I have had five cross over the Rainbow Bridge over the past 30 years. It is so hard to say goodbye. It helps to know that they are in a better place. When my dog Shadow, also a Chow Chow died of old age in my arms, he did not go until I released him to God. I felt his spirit leave and it was probably one of the most spiritual moments of my life. I believe God has a place in heaven for all of His creatures. From a scientific prospective, remember no energy can ever be extinguished -- scientifically all energy has proven to transform. I am not sure what you mean by a memorial you want to give. For George and his brother, Little Bear, I just searched Rainbow Bridges on Google images, and then copied and photoshopped the boys into the pictures. If you visit Little Bear's profile, you will see I made a Memorial tribute to him on video. I used photos and the Movie Maker program that most computers with MicroSoft Windows has as a standard program. As far as backgrounds for the profile, you do them the same as MySpace -- get the codes from various websites. Someone suggested: http://www.freecodesource.com/myspace-graphics/bac kgrounds/stars/2, but it has been so long since I've worked on stuff I don't remember if they were any good. I hope you open your heart to a new dog or puppy when you are ready. It is truly the best way to heal your heart. No dog will ever replace the dog you lost, but they carve out their own place in your heart. Currently, I have a Chow Chow, Lucy that just turned 2 in January. She brings so much love and laughter to the house. She is all Chow and although she looks so much like Little Bear, her personality is all her own. I hope this has helped. Please keep in touch. If you find out of any Dogster Groups that specialize in making/helping memorials, let me know. Here is a link to Little Bear's tribute. You can also view it on his page, but Dogster made me delete the music... (copy and paste if the link doesn't show up -- delete any extra spaces thrown in by Dogster or the link address won't work.)
