i'm getting a WHAT?

ok, so mom pulled out the ex-pen on friday and daddy left on a trip. i know cause he put all his furrless body coverings in that big scarry bag and mommy had
THAT look on her face that she gets before he goes away. so mommy has been cleaning the house nonstop and putting away our toys!! she's been mumbling about "sanitizing" and "disinfecting" and "before puppy shots". that's when she sat us all down and tried to break the news with new stuffed toys. i ain't fooled- i wasn't born yesterday. mommy has sent daddy to bring home a new little sister for us!! i cannot believe it- how many of these pipsqueaks so i have to raise in my lifetime?? mommy told tide she was getting a little girl rat terrier and she'd be his "girlfriend". tide wanted to know if that was anything like "ball". mommy just shook her head and laughed that he'd figure it out soon enough. tide is 6 now- i'm not so sure that that ship hasn't already sailed, mom. river just wants reassurances that she's still the #1 female in the house and that she had carte blance to bite her if she jumps on her legs. mommy nixed that one....

so tuesday daddy comes home with gaia! mommy can't wait and since mommy's excited, well, then i'll be excited too. :)
