Today is a very special day, it is my grandmama's birthday and it is also my sweet furiend Peanutty's birthday. Happy birthday Peanutty!!! I hope you get lots of goodies, treats and belly rubs. All the best to you sweetie! Hope mom feels better soon, sorry to hear she is sick today. Guess that means you'll get to celebrate another day too when she feels better... right mommy!
It is a happy day for grandma too,not just because it's her birthday but also because she is better than ever before. She is free of pain, heartache and suffering; she is healed of all her diseases. Grandma is with some of the nearest and dearest to her, she is walking with Papa, her mom & dad and God.
This is the best birthday Grandma ever had. And although I miss her (she gave the best ear rubs!) I am glad that she isn't hurting anymore. I know my mom is glad too, even though she misses her very much.
The picture of Grandmama, mom, and I was taken at Dinner Key in Miami. It was a beautiful spring day...unusually cool for Miami...it was gorgeous. Daddy snapped lots of pictures of us. We ate lunch outside by the bay. We went to a dog park also on the bay. You can see a glimpse of the water behind us in the picture. Mommy didn't know that this would be the last time she took Grandmama out anywhere. Grandmama loved it... she asked mom when we could do it again. Mommy treasures that day too. ♥ ♥ ♥
Grandma is a very special lady, she knew just how to comfort, encourage, console and love us. Although she doesn't walk with us anymore she will always be very close by, because she lives in our hearts.
I love you grandmama.
♥ Mollie

Well... here I am finally ready to post. It has been so long since I have written anything here.
Anyways, mom thought it would be nice to have some furiends over to help celebrate my special day... my second birthday that is. And to top it off, it was three days before my actual birthday... how cool is that!
Mom baked a yummy peanut butter carrot cake for me and my furiends. And she made another cake for the humans too. Everything was great... for a while. But you know I am "the princess" of all around here. One of the sweet young pups, a schnauzer named Puzzle started getting to me. This particular little pup was determined that I should play with him. I use the term " little" very loosely, he is actually about three times my size. And having his paw continually coming down on top of my head was a little too much. So.... I told him off good! And mom, thinking she is the Dog Whisperer or something, kept letting him at me. Imagine that! Me the Birthday girl of all pups, sitting there and taking such abuse!!!
Well, I yelled at him good. And mom of course kept reassuring everyone that he would get the message and would stop trying to use me for a punching bag. Little did she know how determined he was. After awhile though, my Auntie Lori said enough already and rescued me. hmph... thanks a lot mom!
I did have a nice party though. It was great to have my furiends come to help me celebrate. We had lots of pups here...there was Rascal, Puzzle, Maggie, Max, Spike, Lucy, Penny, Napolean and my special Dogster furiends Cody and Riley. Wish all my Dogster furiends could have come!
I enjoyed sharing my woofday cake and some Frosty Paws with everyfur. Just don't touch my birthday pressies!!! They are mine... all mine! ah HA ha ha!!!!!!
There is a neat slide show of the party up there.
I am the queen of quite a lot... thanks so much furs for all the gifts you gave to me. You all have such warm hearts.
I loves you all!

About two months ago I had some blood drawn for a DNA test. We had won the test in a drawing at my Dogters open house party for the new facility they had just finished building.
The results were a long time coming but the Dogter finally called my mom. They say a DNA test has a wealth of information to give. We were very surprised at the results though.
We were told by my first mom that I was a Maltese/Yorkie... also known as a Morkie. We had no reason to doubt her... especially since I do look a lot like a black Maltese.
So you can imagine our surprise when the Dogter told us that the DNA test showed that I am a King Charles Cavalier Spaniel and Shih Tzu!
But it's all good ... nothing has changed except that I know who my kinfolks are... mom and dad love me just the same.
as always,
Princess Mollie

I was tagged by my friend Bambi. She is one of the most talented pups I know and very sweet too! Thank you Bambi.
Well, now let's play the game, here is how it is played. I have to answer 4 questions and post them in my diary. Then...I have to tag 4 furiends. So, here goes...
Name 4 jobs you have
1. I am very good at keeping all manner of critters out of our yard! I don't hurt them... just try to play with 'em and they usually disappear, especially all the squirrels and lizards.
2. Posing for the camera. My mom has millions of pictures of me! I'm so funny, I can be playing, eating or sleeping and when I see the camera I sit up and pose!!
3.One of my many talents is cuddling... I'm soooo good at it!
4. And last but not least...I am good at fetching squeaky toys. This is a favorite pass time of mine. I would do it all day long if possible.
Name four places you have lived @ or stayed
1. At the pet store where I was sold.
2. My first home, with my first mom(See Adopt 08 diary post).
3. My second home where I am now which is my forever home.
4. That's all!
Name 4 places you have been
1. Meadows Doggie Park
2. Petsmart
3. Shopping at malls.
4. Miami
Name 4 places you'd rather be
1. The dog park
2. On mom's lap
3. Going for a ride in mom's bike basket.
4. Laying on my little couch.
And now my nominees are.....
1. Junebug
2. Chloe
3. Gilbert & Buster
4. Cody
Don't forget to tag four of your friends! =)

Just wanted to give a quick update on how things are going with Noelle.
We have been to the vet and have Noelle's flying license! She is in very good shape according to the Dogter. Reservations are for 6:30pm Sunday evening from Tampa International airport. We have a purchased a crate with a cozy padded blanket, food and water bowls, additional food, treats and chewies.
We did have a little scare when we went to leave for the vet. office earlier today. Noelle was in the front of the house with my dad doing her business while mom was getting ready to go. Mom came outside, opened the car door turned on the car to get it cooled off... when she shut the car door Noelle got startled and managed to slip out of her harness. She took off down the road with mom and dad running behind... boy did she love that freedom! We enlisted the help of a young neighbor ... with food in hand she was able to keep up a little better than mom could! Eight blocks from home we were able to get the harness back on her while she enjoyed munching on the food.
That added some excitement to the early part of our day along with some most likely needed exercise for all of us!!
We made sure that the harness was a little tighter before we left for the Vets. office.
So all is well here, and Noelle should be in her new home early tomorrow evening.
We want to thank all of you for the emails filled with kind and encouraging words to us. The friend requests also are very special to us. Thank you also for the pretty gifts, rosettes and stars that you have sent. We really appreciate all of this very much. We are moved by all of the sweet thank yous that we have received. We know you would have done the same to help out if you lived in Florida and could do so.
We are thrilled to have met all of you... we just wish it could have been because of different circumstances. You are such a loving and caring group and we feel blessed to be a part of that.
We send our deepest condolences to all of you as you feel the loss of Laurel.
May God bless you.

Update for Sunday May 25th~ from Noelle to my new mom.
Hi Mom! I can't wait to see you! I am looking forward to meeting my new bro Ziggy and all my new kitty brothers and sisters. Yay!!! I'm so excited!!
I am all ready to get on the plane in a few hours.
My foster mom and foster sis are gonna miss me... they say I am the sweetest big pit they have ever met! Mollie just loves playing with me... she likes to dance on my head while I'm laying down of course! Otherwise she couldn't reach my head!!
Oh... guess what! Yesterday I went to the Meadows Dog Park. Boy did I have a great time. I got to run and play with lots of other big dogs. And I loved chasing a frisbee ... I almost caught it in the air! I'm really an athlete. All Mollie's friends at the park gave me lots of hugs and wished me well on my flight tonight. They were so glad that I was going to a wonderful new home.
Last night my foster mom gave me a bath. She wanted me to smell sweet as a petunia when I got home. My coat is much shinier now... I was a dirty girl!
Well my typist has to go so I will see you soon. Thanks so much mom for saying that you will adopt me, I can't wait to give you a big lick with my huge tongue!!!
I love you, Noelle

Well... it has been a very special day today indeed!! We were able to go to the animal shelter and spring Noelle from jail. She seemed quite pleased to walk out of there into the sweltering Florida sunshine.
We left with mixed feelings of joy and sadness ... joy to see her leaving there... sadness to walk away from so many pups and kitties left inside still. It is heartbreaking to walk by so many cages and see sad puppy eyes looking up at you longingly... hoping that just maybe you will take them out of this place.
It is so hard to even think about how many of them will never walk out.
It is more than hard ... it is totally heart wrenching. It is a feeling that people need to experience at least once if they have ever thought about having just one litter. It is something that you will never forget... although you will wish you could. It touches you to the core. It makes you stop and really think, why in the world would anyone allow their pets to breed? It truly is a crime when there are already so many who have no place to call home. And why are not all our pets spayed or neutered... surely we don't want to see anymore furbabies brought into this world to be abandoned.
Well... I didn't mean to get on the soapbox tonight.
Not to take away any of the happiness of the day when Noelle is one step closer to her new home. We are hoping to be able to have her on the plane on her way to her new mom~ Alison as soon as possible. Noelle is such a sweet and gentle soul. Not having known Noelles mom personally, I do know this ...she loved her furbabies. And it has truly been a honor to help one of her babies.
Noelle was nervous during the road trip to our home. She sat on the seat next to me with her head resting against my arm for most of the trip. She tried several times to climb in my lap. I would have let her but she is just too big to be a lap dog in the car! She is now resting peacefully, letting out soft snores as she sleeps. She has been through so much in these past few weeks. Thanks to so many caring, loving hearts on Catster and Dogster she is now safe with no worries at all. It has been our pleasure to take part in helping her on her way to her new forever home.
We are praying real hard that Tess~ Noelles' kitty sister is found safe and sound real soon. Sending lots of love, prayers, wags and lickies for all the homeless, lost puppies and kitties.

Hello! My name is Mollie. My first mom called me Truffles. My first mom bought me from a store when I was a tiny girl. I lived with her for months and then she decided that she didn't want me anymore.
So on April 1st 2007, she played a mean trick on me...she placed a advertisement on the internet listing me for sale... "Nice Puppy Needs Good Home" is what she said. Well...actually that was the truth.
My young life had not been a happy one so far. I was left in a cage the entire day...no one cared that I was so lonely. I cried ... the neighbors complained, they didn't like hearing my sad little howls. No one cared that I needed to go outside to do my business. I was so smelly and dirty. My eyes and ears were infected from the dirty cage that I stayed in all day. I was not given any of the vaccines that puppies need to get... nope...not even one. Good thing that I seldom went outside... I could have caught something since I was totally unprotected. Why didn't my first mom love me? Did I do something wrong? I was so lovable... I tried to be a good puppy.
Little did I know that on that beautiful day, filled with Florida sunshine, my life as a Princess was about to begin. My forever home should be with someone who loves me for what I am... a fun loving, lively little pup with so much heart and soul. A pup that loves unconditionally and completely... a puppy who never meets a stranger.
I am so glad that my story has a happy ending... I found my forever home. My mom and dad love me so much. My furless sisters have moved out of the house... I never will. My furless sisters think I am spoiled... I am! They say I'm treated like a princess... I am!
I love to smother my mom with kisses... other people try to get them from me too... and I will share a few, but most are reserved for mom. I have never been left alone all day... that is just too scary! I love to ride in moms bike basket... nothing like the feeling of the wind in my hair! I have many friends at the Meadows dog park. And I can't wait for my second birthday... I had so much fun at my first one.
I hope people will learn that dogs are not something you buy and then toss away when you're tired of them. We are not things ... we are precious souls that deserve love and attention... in return we give back so much more.
Money can't buy love... but it can buy sorrow for dogs that are left alone, neglected and unloved.
May all the sad, homeless, unloved puppies find someone today... as I did one sunny day when my mom took me home to stay.

Daddy wrote this about my silly mom and me... thanks Daddy for doing that!
I always thought when our kids where grown,
My wife and I would be all alone,
But I misjudged her once again,
And her need to be a mother hen.
She needed another to care for all day,
In her usual loving and special way.
And that was how Mollie came to be,
The new member of the family.
She bathes and dresses and spoils her so,
Like she did with our children years ago.
Our other kids all have their own homes you see,
And in our happy home is Mommy, Mollie and me.
