'' ...... Now for some other news and a small favor to ask of all of you. As you know my Mom goes to the annual candle lighting ceremony in Maine to honor all the cancer angels and all the pups still living with and fighting off this terrible disease. Here is a portion of the e-mail Mom received from the organizer of the event.
"On July 31st at 7:30 P.M.EDT I will be having another Canine Cancer Hero Candle Lighting at Sierra's garden in Maine for our heaven and earth angels. We will be lighting each and every stake in Sierra's garden that has our angel's names burned on them, and a healing section of candles for our heroes that are living through the challenges of cancer.
This year there are over 550 names in the garden so I'm sure that our angels will have something special planned for that evening. Every year they seem to show up and give us the gift of their presence. If everyone can please light a candle at 7:30 PM EST and place it outside so our angels can see our tribute of love for them in all different parts of the world, and a second candle to show our unity for positive thoughts of
healing for those battling this disease ....."

It is long but if you take the time to view it you will see how very special it is and how honoured we would be to know all our pals are lighting candles at the same time too.

So that's it, just a simple favour that you join us and light two candles wherever you are at 7:30 PM EDT Saturday 31st July so all the Angels know how much they are missed and loved.
I hadn't said as yet but I will now....
Wyoming's Mum is taking a candle stake I have made for my Beloved Cleo this year and that means more than you can ever know to me. She has so kindly said she will take some photos and I will write a 2nd Diary for Cleo then as well. My beautiful girl would have been 14 on the 25th July.. as it was she never made it past 8 1/2 when struck by this awful disease.

Chey & Mom We'll be a part of this definitely. Thinking of all our Dogster angels... It'll be 7.30 am here in Perth (just checked the World Clock site), and Pogo and I will be up and lighting our candles at that time too. xoxoxoxoxoxo We will be lighting and thinking of you and the angel pups and cats. We'll also be thinking of our pals fighting cancer. Hugs Cleo we will be out there also with everyone else...Hugs Min.. will work out the time for UK and will do my very best to join in *hugs* U.K is 5 hours ahead of EST.. so will make it 12.30am Sunday and not really practical.
Lighting the candles ANY time that Saturday everning would be wonderful Thankyou Joining in Spirit, we Will be lighting here 7:30pm Saturday.Hugs & pokes, Darla & Mommy xoxoxo We will also be lighting a candle here at home at 7:30pm for our angel friends and ones still here fighting!!! ~ Checkers and mama Thank you Cleo and Pam for putting this in your diary and a huge huge thanks to all who lit candles with us. Our angels were looking down and feeling all the love and how much we miss them. It was a beautiful starlit night and their spirits were all around us. Mom will be posting some pics to my page and will write in my diary too later today. Huge hugs to all of you, you guys are the absolute best.
