Arrival Story:
We found her through Petsfinder.org and adopted her from Room for One More, a no kill shelter in Hoptatcong, NJ. We were told she was given up by a backyard breeder who can no longer take care of her. We came to the shelter, and picked her up on a Saturday, October 13, 2007. She is a tiny little thing. 4 pounds with the smallest face I've seen. She was a nervous, cranky little chi at the shelter until she came home and realized how peaceful her new home is. She now knows how to relax and be a pet. She doesn't know what toys are but she sure knows what a good, comfy bed is! At first, she gets scared when you try to pet her but now she even lays on her back for belly rubs. She doesn't bark since we took her home. She doesn't know how to walk on a leash yet but she follows us on walks.
