What fun at the Doodle Romp at Ziggy's house May 3, 2008

The weather wasn't too cheery but the atmosphere sure was at the doodle romp. Ziggy and his family were the perfect hosts. They really showed us a good time. There were toys for us all to play with and take home toys and lots of treats too. We ran after balls, Frisbees and sticks thrown by Ziggy's human brothers and sister's. They were so nice to all of us, they made me feel so special. They watched us so our pawents could eat lunch and visit with the other pawents. I must admit I stayed close to the kids when it was time for them to eat. Hey, you never know when something will accidently fall into my mouth.

It was wonderful getting to meet all my doodle friends in the fur instead of just cyber space. Mom really enjoyed meeting some she has been talking to since joining "Doodle Connection'. Thank God for Dogster, we have met so many wonderful, supportive and caring dog lovers. I just wish all the members of doodle connection could have shared this experience with us. We would have to close down a park for the day to fit us all in, but would we have fun!

1. I wish we would get some snow that would stay on the ground so Jessie and I could play in it.
2. I wish Jessie didn't have arthritis and could play with me without being in pain all the time.

4. I wish that I could meet ALL my Dogster friends and have a huge play date.
5. I wish that every animal had a happy forever home like mine.

NEW HAIR CUT!

It is my first hair cut ever! I was a little unsure of the clippers at first. Once I saw they were not going to hurt me, I relaxed and was real good. My human sister was a groomer, she offered to give me a make over. Mom thinks I look cute, but she would think I looked cute, even if I was bald! Dad likes it better the old scruffy doodle style. Helping Mom Pet Sit 10-23-07

Mom is taking care of my human sister's two dogs (golden retriever and Bernese mountain dog) plus the two cats in my photo gallery while they are on their honeymoon. Boy, am I ever giving them a workout! I like to mouth wrestle with the golden and run right over the BIG boy's back. He doesn't even move. ! I've been having fun with the cats too, they're more my size and fun to chase. When they don't run, we just look at each other. Mom has been taking lots of pictures. We spend the nights here, but go back during the day to stay with my sister, Jessie. Mom leaves me with Jessie and comes back in the afternoon to let the "boys" out again. I'm going to miss playing with these guys every day when my human sister comes back in a few days. Dad and Jessie are holding down the fort at home.

Forgot to mention I am 14 weeks old today. Almost a big girl!

Day after the wedding. 10/15 07

Yesterday, my human sister got married. The girls all come over the house to get dressed for the wedding. They all gave me a big greeting when they came back from getting their hair and make up done. I got kisses, gave kisses, it was great fun. All of a sudden the fun stopped! I was put in my cage and everyone started hurrying around. My sister, Jessie was put in the back room, I heard talk about a photographer coming. Jessie barks like crazy when strangers come around. I was in the kitchen so I could see what was going on. All of a sudden everyone disappeared, then shortly after they all came out wearing fancy clothes. I cried and howled in my crate. I wanted to come out and jump on them and tell them how pretty they looked. Everyone kept telling me to be quiet. Jessie was carrying on in the back room. After awhile they all disappeared, but before they did, Mom let Jessie out of the back room. Our nice neighbor came over to take care of us while they were gone.

This morning, I didn't feel too good. When I went to the bathroom, Mom noticed round worms in my stool. I was in a panic, they were wiggling when they were coming out and I didn't know what was going on. I was dragging my butt in the grass and then ran to her. Good thing Mom was there to reassure me that I was going to be OK. She said it was a good thing that Sam (my vet) was coming today to give me my last set of puppy shots today, cause now he could worm me too.

I didn't cry this time when he gave me my shots, had to get two, one for kennel cough cause Mom is taking me to puppy classes soon to be socialized, whatever that means. Sam said I was cute and very smart and gave me a treat. Sam said I weigh 11 pounds , that I doubled my weight in three weeks and looked twice as big. I like him, I can't understand why Jessie always barks at him when he comes. He said he'll see me in about a month.
