A Day In The Life of Toby

Toby passed

On November 18th, 2008, Toby passed away. He had been having problems with seizures that last 2 weeks of his life. The last one did something and he didn't recover properly. RIP Toby. Daddie loves you more than anything in the world.

Check Up

Well what to write. For starters daddie took me to work. I ate McDonalds, yum! I also got to visit with the ladies at daddie's work. They were so nice to me. Then I went for a car ride all day. I was in my glory. I knew daddie was up to something. Then it hit me. I was off to Lyle (my doctor). He gave me a shot, no biggy, I'm tough. Plus I knew I was getting treats. He did a full examination. Told daddie to expect to have me around for a very long time. Daddie was more excited than I was. I really wish I could see a little. The eye drops are not working. I noticed for some reason I am hearing a little better. I know where my food, water and treats are so I'm not worried. Until next entry, bye for now pup pals.

Take your doggie to work day

What a great day. Grand mommie and daddie went out of town for a couple days. Usually daddie just leaves me at home but since he has a new position at work, he works out of town and comes to visit later on at night. So getting to the point, he said lets go Toby you're coming to work with me today. Well was I pampered (And I thought grand mommie and daddie spoiled me). I had McDonalds for lunch and I got car rides all day. Daddie said we put on about 200 km's. I got to see some of his offices and meet some nice people that all wanted to pet me. When daddie was driving he let me sleep on his lap so I could look out the window. I guess all that isn't exciting for some pups but for me that was great. I didn't have to be alone all day. Tomorrow he said I am going to work with him again and he's taking me to a nice place at the lake. I bet he won't let me wander out there. There's eagles and hawks there. I'm home now and I just wanted to brag to everyone. Until my next entry, bye for now. I'm doing great! Again daddie thank you for a wonderful day.

My 16th Birthday

Well its my 16th birthday. I am at the cottage all weekend. I slept by daddie all day Saturday and Sunday. I played in the yard a little but it was cold. Daddie's brother came out to the cabin. I'm glad he didn't bring his dogs. They are too young and bother me a little. I just like it when my family is around. For dinner tonight daddie cooked me lobster, crab, and shrimp. But if you can believe it, I wasn't too fond of the crab. The lobster and shrimp were good but I was more impressed with my turkey dinner I had on Saturday. It doesn't matter though. I had a great day and I feel really good. Daddie took some pics of me this weekend that are on dogster now. I also got my drivers license. I wonder when daddie is going to get me a car. 2 days and counting

Well I'm almost 16. I'm getting my drivers license. I saw the picture already. I'm going to be so cool driving a car! Daddie has bought me a pile of food for my B-Day. I'm getting some lobster, crab, shrimp, and steak. I'm drooling thinking about it. He said he is going to add new pics here on Sunday or shortly after. Well I must get going. I have to get my family to pack up my blankets and toys so we can goto the lake for the weekend. Daddie's brother is bringing his 2 dogs out there too. I don't mind them but they mark their territory in my cabin (the nerve of them). I'll just sit by daddie all weekend. He'll protect me. Well I'll update my diary on or after my B-Day. Day in the Life!

Wow what a weekend. Daddie, grand mommie, and grand daddie took me to the cabin. Boy I love it there. I was full of energy running around outside and playing with daddie. Dinner was terrible though, they fed me only dog food! The nerve of them. Well I guess the wait was worth it. Daddie bought grand mommie and grand daddie chinese food for dinner. MMMMMMMM that was delicious! I ate chicken, shrimp, beef, rice, and bacon mixed with my food. Did I pig out. I had to take a nap after that one. After I went outside for a bit with daddie. I really had a great weekend. I heard a lot of what everyone was saying and normally I have a lot of trouble hearing. I also could see better too. Hmmmm, I dunno, anyways it was fun and I am soooo happy. Make sure you come see me next Sunday, its my birthday...YAY! Daddie is cooking me lobster!!!!!!!

End of the day

Well daddie finally gave the laptop back to me and boy did I have fun today. I showed grand mommie that I'm not dumb or old. I saw grand daddie in the sunroom dozing off. So I barked at him making him think I needed to go outside. But when I got him into the kitchen I walked over to the sink and looked up(grand mommie had beef in the sink thawing). After that I went to my bowl and looked at it. Grand daddie called me a little bugger and went back to his nap. Minutes later I decided to wake him up again, I really had to go out. Luckily I didn't cry wolf too much. Anyways I was out in the back yard for about 30 minutes walking and running around(grand daddie says I never do that, I just go outside, do my biz and come in). Well I knew if I wanted that beef I had to show off a little, so I chased a squirrel for a bit and then came in. When I came in grand mommie had mixed beef with my food and I ate it all up. I had it planned all along. Everyone thinks I am old but I proved them all wrong today. I'm learning this typing thing its not that hard.
Oh oh daddies coming, I bet he wants his laptop back. Nighty night.

First Day on Dogster

I am thrilled that my first pal on dogster was Heidi. I'm really sad that she passed away this summer but living to 20 is something I want to do. Heidi must have been pampered like daddie pampers me. Daddie has to type for me. My paws are too fat. Well daddie had to get me a new dog food. I'm not too fond of it. I eat it as long as daddie or grand mommie mix chicken or fish or some other good stuff in it. I really have gotten picky in my old age. Well I've got to go take a nap. I will update my diary when daddie when he gives me the laptop back. Ya know I think daddie thinks the laptop is his but we all know who owns it!
