Leave a bone for Daisy/Adopted

Special Gift Box:

Nicknames: Wild Furchild,

Quick Bio:
| -purebred | -pound dog | -dog rescue | |
 Birthday: September 17th 2005
 Likes: To play ball.

Favorite Toy: A ball.

Favorite Food: Purina Pro Plan/ sensative skin and stomach.

Arrival Story: I picked up Daisy this morning from our Animal Control/pound. She had been left in the "after hours" holding pen with a note. It said she is spayed and she bit one of the family's children. The Dad was in bed with Daisy and the kids came running in and jumped onto the bed. Daisy bit the child. .......Didn't say if it was a nip or a serious bite. There were no medical records left for her or any other info. I know she was very happy to see me and greeted me like she was saying "What took you so long to come get me?" She had a smile on her face and jumped right into the pet taxi and settled in for the ride home like she did that every day of her life. LOL She is full of self confidence. Not a shy bone in her body.

Bio: Daisy seems healthy. She is a bit chunky but not so much as to be dangerious. 2 or 3 pounds off would be good for her I know. I think she is less then 2 yrs old. She needs a lot of work. She jumps up and on you, nips and licks. She is hyper and has not learned self control. I will likely have to take her to obediance classes. She will have little chance of adoption as she is now. BUT maybe she will calm down when she gets used to her new temp home. She seems happy and I hope she will get along with the other dogs when she is out of quarantine. We shall see,

Spoke with Daisy's Mom today. She is settled in and happy at home with her family. It was so good to know she is happy. We miss her and feel blessed that we were able to be a part of her adventure and rescue. It scares me to think what would have happened to Daisy if I had not rescued her that day. I hope to be able to keep in touch with her for a few weeks at least. Fred is just so lonely without Daisy. He really loves her.

The organization recieved a call from a young lady who saw Daisy on our site and called to say she is her dog! She thinks Daisy was stollen from her yard where she had been left on a tie out for a short time. There was no Dasiy but only her collar and the tie out when she returned to take her in. She looked for her and posted fliers but thought she was gone forever. Because she has a photo of Daisy and knew of a distinguishing mark on her belly we turned her over to her owner. Daisy is now microchipped and has all her vaccinations and is on heart worm preventative. She is set for a year. I think her owner loves her and it was good to see them happy. Good Bye Daisy. Your Welcome. I love you little girl. I'll call and check up on you.....

Yesterday I went to PetSmart! There were so many dogs and people there. It was a big place and the noises there were new to me. I was excited! I kind of had to set a couple of dogs straight and Dad didn't like that much. He held me tight and didn't let me get close to any of them. I was so excited that Dad brought me home after about an hour. I was glad to get home. I was so tired from all the excitement. I didn't get my furever home yesterday. Mom said if I don't change my attitude I may never leave here. I don't know what that means. I know I am happy here and it's OK if I never leave. I just have to figure out how to get to the other dogs so I can set them straight on what I want from them. Mom won't let me get by them though. Maybe some day.....
