My Hero Cretos

Hi friends
I feel as though I need to tell the world about my dear friend Cretos, so here goes.........
My friend Cretos came to his forever home not that long ago, he found his forever home with a family that could not have been any better. There were skin kids to play with, more pups to play with and a Mom who is a Saint. When he got to his forever home, he was a little iffy about the situation, he had no training in his past home, no exercise , A prong collar and an electric bark collar were his only accessories. He was very hand shy and it took him a while to come around. He had another Boxer sister Autumn who kinda showed him the ropes and just wanted him to come out of his shell, so they could be best friends. Cretos' Mom worked with him all the time, he was like her shadow he followed her everywhere.
Soon enough, Cretos started coming around and making leaps and bounds with his progress. He loves to play with Autumn and as his Mom says, is crazy about the kids.

His love for those kids is what took his life. On October 9, 2008 my dear friend Cretos showed the most amazing act of courage, loyalty and dedication. Here is what happened as his Mom writes...........

I have lost my dear Cretos today. I am not sure what to say about this but he died protecting his baby. I was leaving to take my kids to school. My baby had walked out side with his sister and I was getting ready to go behind them. I heard growling. The neighbors Sheppard was in my yard and ready to attack my baby. Cretos jumped through my glass patio door, and attacked her. They fought for at least 5 minutes before we could get them apart. She tour out a chunk of his throat, and he had other injuries from her and the glass door breaking. She also had injuries. They were both rushed to the vet, and he went into surgery right away. I am in such shock, and it was so awful to watch. The kids were all standing there, and they were all hysterical. I have no idea what to do about all this, and I am completely heartbroken. I swear I am cursed. I am so proud of him, but I wish I had not lost him. He truly is a hero in my book, and saved my baby boy's life (his boy) and now he is gone forever. I have contacted animal control to quarantine his dog if she pulls through, and am waiting to here what he plans to do about this.

It is with a very heavy heart and tears in my eyes that I wish my dear friend farewell. Cretos, I can only hope that in the same situation I would be as brave and loyal as you my friend. You will always be remembered as a hero in my eyes and the eyes of so many others. Have fun with Bonnie and Clyde and I will see you again one day my friend.

OMD........... I THINK I AM GOING CAMPING!!!

Ok...so I heard Mom and Dad talking last night about wanting to bring my skin brother camping for the first time. They are going to go only for one night just to make sure he likes it......and they said they are going to bring me!!!!! You have no idea how happy I am, I thought this day would never come. I hear all my pals talking about camping and how much fun it is and I thought I would never be able to go. Mom just has to call the camp ground and make sure they can bring me.
Mom already said she has to go buy a new memory card for her camera so she can take lots of pics of me and my skin bro on our first camping trip.
I can't wait to tell everypup how it was!!!

If Dogs Could Talk

IF DOGS COULD TALK...




1. My life is likely to last 10-17 years. Any separation from you is likely to be painful.

Get with the program MOM!!!

So as I sit here and look at my page and all the pictures that are on it....I am feeling a little neglected. I feel as though it is time for Mom to break out that little flashy thing and take some new ones. They keep talking about soemthing called kindergarten and I'm sure there will be tons of pictures for that. So I'd like some taken of me as well!! She is even slacking for the photo contest in Boxers International. All we need is a simple outdoor photo and she hasn't even done that.
Although she did get me some bully sticks the other day so, maybe I'll let her slide for a little while. At least untill I eat them all!!!

Hopefully soon you'll see some new pictures of me....but don't hold your breath!!

It's My Birthday!!!!

WOW!!!!! Let me tell you, I have never known what a birthday was before today and I am LOVING it!!! This has got to be the second best day of my life, the first of course was this same day last year when my Mom, Dad and brother came to the pound and brought me home!!
Being a dog that roams the streets day in and day out, you never get to experience a birthday. Usually it is a lonely day where nothing special happens. Well, this morning I knew it was going to be great....Dad got up and fed me, gave me some yummy yogurt with my breakfast then I went back to bed and laid with Mom. Then when she got up she was hugging me and kissing me like crazy and then dad started too. Usually they are crazy, but not like this!!! After that all ended I got a gift it was a new nylabone!!! My favorite!! Then I got these Filet Mignon treats yummy yummy yummy!!!! Mommy says there is more to come, she's going to make me a special cake and has more gifts for me and even Grandma and Grandpa are coming over for dinner!!!

This is going to be such a wonderful day!!!

Thanks to all my friends for the gifts and for celebrating my birthday with me!! I love you guys and you mean the world to me!!!!!!!!!!

I Have a New Uncle!!!!!

Let me start from the begining.........

So friends of my daddy's have a 1 year old boxer named Brody and they just had a baby, Mom and Dad told them if there are any problems at all that they would take brody instead of them having to bring him to the shelter. Brody got along well with the baby...but the problem they were running into was that they live in a townhouse. When Brody had to go potty they would bring him out right in there little back yard which apparently is "common ground" well the association did not like that. They started giving them fines for taking Brody out there....1st they got a $150 then $300 then $500. Well with Brody's Mommy, she could not take him down the street like the "association" wanted her to because she had the baby.

Now, I went to go meet Brody at my Grandma and Grandpa's house since Mom and Dad didn't think it would be a good idea to do it at our house...something about territory and my space...whatever I like G&G's.

So I see Brody and we go CRAZY!!!!!!! We run, we box, we fight...I like to try and get his legs from under him and he always falls down...it's REALLY funny!!! But, I guess we go a little to crazy together...because Brody didnt come home with us. He did though stay at Grandma and Grandpa's house which I am so excited about because now everytime someone goes up to G&G's I get to go too!!!

So that is how I got a new Uncle!!! I will post some pictures of Brody soon!!!

Maybe I don't like summer as much as I thought.....

So I went to the vet yesterday because I have a few little bumps on my back, I keep doing this wheezing coughing thing and I grind my teeth. So the vet says summertime is my enemy....but I just love it so much!! I love sitting in the sun, being outside...ohh I am so angry. Anyway...the bumps on my back are Folliculitis....which is an infection of the hair follicles...which I am now on an antibiotic for...the wheezing is what they are calling a reverse sneeze due to allergies and pollen...I am on medicine for that too. Ohh and that sneaky little vet...she is lucky I like her so much. Mom told her that I have been licking my bottom a lot...so she snuck right up behind me and got my anal glands. She said they were not full but there was stuff in there and I do feel a little better but come on...warn a girl first before you go in there.

Well hopefully this allergy medicine with help me and I will be able to enjoy my summer like I have been dreaming about all winter!!!

Ohh one more thing....thanks to all my friends who voted for me in the photwow photo contest. I really appreciate all your support!!!!

I have conquered the bed!!!!

I have done it, I have done it...and it took me less then 1 year!!!!!!!!

Okay, lets go back to last July when I came to my forever home....Mom and Dad just loved me so much right from the start but would only let me on the couch sometimes and at first I was allowed to sleep on the bed...then I took up to much room and had to sleep on my bed next to Mom and Dad's bed. But lately something CRAZY has been going on....I think it is because I have this new look....it is the kind of look that no human can resist...that "ohh I love you so much" look...the look that when the humans look at you they just smile and say that you are just the cutest thing in the world. You all know what I am talking about and I am sure you have all used that look before. Well that look, got me a permanent place on the bed my friends!!! Even if they make me start out on my bed, I wait till they fall asleep then hop up by them and they do not even kick me off. It will be a year in July that I have been in my forever home and let me tell you...I am good
