Yesterday was my birthday and so many of my pals sent me pressies for my Dogster page, happy birthday wishes and even a pretty birthday picture. I even was made Royal member of the day at PDPC (Princess Diva and Prince Charming).
Momma is still unable to post new pictures on my Dogster page so I she isn't able to display NINA's birthday picture frame or the PDPC Royal member of the day photo (Dang Dogster fleas - when will they ever be gone?)
I have been keeping a close watch on Puffy and Mei-Ling. Puffy is hanging in there but I can see he is wearing out fast. Mei-Ling is a ball of energy and had I ever had puppies, I would have wanted them to be just like she is - bossy, greedy, steals stuffies, and demands attention. The only thing I don't understand about her is that she doesn't like milk bones! How can that be? I loved my milk bones.
I love you all and someday we will all be together - playing and romping in the clouds. Coco Rose

Hello everyone - Coco's human mom here...
For the last several years, I have had experienced great joy sending our pals holiday cards. Normally, I would have them all addressed and ready for mailing by Thanksgiving, but this year, I have failed miserably. Here it is December 12, and I can't seem to bring myself to pull out the cards and do them as all I can see is Coco with her mouth stuffed with a Milk bone looking happily at me. This is the first Christmas that Coco will not be here to demand that she get a bag of cookies and belly rubs. My heart still aches for her and doing the Christmas cards is weighing heavily on me.
There is still some time left before Christmas so who know, I might manage to get the task done yet, but if I do not, please forgive me.

Pals, Today Coco is one of the diary picks of the day. I would like to thank Dogster for this honor. I'm still unable to write anything as if Coco were barking it. I suspect it will take some time but the shock of her passing is still weighing heavily on my heart.
For those of you who have not been following us at
Coco and Puffys Blog
I would like to tell you that we have adopted another Shih Tzu. She is currently about 2 weeks old and will be named Mei-Ling Star. Pop over to our Blog and check out her cute photos.
Mei-Ling isn't going to replace Coco as Coco was one of a kind. However, I want Puffy to continue to enjoy life and without Coco it is as if he has aged overnight. Hopefully the puppy will give him a new reason to get up in the mornings.
PS - I tried and tried to download some photos but kept on getting the "DANG" message stating there was something wrong - I guess Dogster is still infected with fleas....

5-14-14 will always be etched in my memory as that is the day you crossed the Rainbow bridge. I so wanted to learn how to express myself with the elegance that Ernie George's momma did for him when his time came to cross that same bridge, but I confess, I have failed at it.
One reason for this is because I am still in shock that you were so ill. Until you started shaking you never let on that something was wrong. You had always had vet care: in fact, you had boarded with them in October of last year and then had several exams this year for various thing, but they too did not notice anything amiss. You ate, drank and played. It was the shaking that made me think something was wrong. At first we believed you were cold because I had shaved your matted winter coat off so I did everything to keep you warm. When that didn't resolve the issue, we took you back to the vet for another exam. The vet believed you had a stomach issue going on since you had a small case of diarrhea so he prescribed some nasty liquid medicine for you to take. That solved the diarrhea issue but the shaking continue and you were now getting unresponsive and didn't want to get out of bed. You even refused to take or eat any of your favorite cookies.
Another trip to the vet was made and your blood results revealed the horrible new - you were dying due to end stage kidney failure.
"NOOOOO, this can't be" I wanted to scream but luckily I managed to hold that in, but not the tears that began falling uncontrollably.
Coco's passing has been quite difficult. I wonder what I could have done differently to extend her life. Is only there was a time machine that could transport me back to the beginning...IF ONLY...But there isn't...my beautiful little Princess is gone.
I've thought about writing a diary entry from Coco detailing what is going on with her in heaven but I just can't bring myself to doing it. It was fun writing about Coco being bossy to Puffy and ruling our home. I loved doing the imaginary parties with our pals, but now that she is gone, I've seem to have lost my muse, so to speak.
Puffy is doing much better: He is eating and showing an interest in with my neighbors two small, female pups that come over to visit with him.
To those of you who sent packages and cards I have loved each one received and will be sending out Thank You cards shortly. I thank everyone for being our friends and for loving Coco. She was one of a kind.

Friends, today at approximately 11:40AM Coco Rose made her journey to the Angel wing fitting department. Yes, Coco Rose is now among past Dogster and Catster pals who have crossed over the Rainbow Bridge. She had been sick and was taken to the vet last week but no improvements were noticed, in fact, I could tell she was actually getting worse. She was shaking and didn't want to play or even eat. After several xrays to see if she had an obstruction with none found, the vet ran blood tests to check her kidney function and discovered her readings were so high that their equipment couldn't obtain several values. The vet said I could leave her there for two day and they would put her on an I.V. to try to flush out the toxins, but since her kidney function readings were unobtainable that all it would do is give her a few days at the most. If we chose not to treat her and take her back home, she would have probably passed away within several days. As hard as it was to make the decision, I opted to be in the room with her as she was sent on her final journey. Her passing was very smooth and she uneventful.
The passing of Coco Rose has really taken me by surprise. With all the health issues that Puffy has I always thought he would be the first one to go, but life has a way of throwing out curve balls when you least expect it.
I'm going to miss my little cookie monster...

I have been trying to post comments on the Princess Divas & Prince Charmings Survivor thread but for some reason each time I try, the Dogster page is "lost". During one try, I actually found myself over at Catster - BOL. Is anyone else having "issues" posting stuff?

Puffy and I received a package in the mail from one of our pals here on Dogster. Inside there was a pretty dress for me and a tee shirt and jacket for Puffy.
I'm very excited to tell you that I am wearing the size small dress.
"Um, Coco, you are not wearing a size small dress."
"Sure I am. The label says it is a size small."
"Yes that is true, but when you tried it on there was no way we could fasten the dress because it was too small for you. I had to alter the dress by adding THREE inches to the underneath side just to get it to fasten."
"That may be, but the label still says SMALL, so technically I am wearing a size small dress so don't spoil things - okay?"
So, as I was telling you, we received a very nice package from one of our pals and would like to thank them for thinking about us. The tee shirt was a wonderful find for Puffy and it fits him perfectly both in size and with the saying on the shirt. Your timing couldn't have been better because momma had just shaved all of Puffy's matted hair off and both the tee shirt and jacket were used to keep him warm during the recent snow dusting we had.
And the new dress looks really nice on me and I loved that it is a size small - BOL
Hugs and kisses,

“Puffy! Hurry up, I hear some noise on the back road behind our house. Let's go out there and see what is going on” Coco says.
Puffy puts down his stuffie and looks over at Coco with his head crocked towards the noise. “It sounds like a big truck if you ask me. Are we still expecting some more deliveries?” he asks.
“To tell you the truth, I kind of lost track of everything. I was really surprised by the two cows that Mazy sent over and have been drooling over them for what seems to be months. I want this to be our best PARTY ever since it is going to be the last one we have with all of our Dogster/Catster pals.
“Catster!? Who invited cats?” Puffy asked. “Don't tell me ole Simba sent out invitations to OUR party” Puffy huffed. “No Puffy, Simba isn't to blame, I sent out the invitations because they too are affected by the changes that SAY Media is doing so I felt it was only right that they should come also. We need to be good hosts and let everyone who wants to come party with us do so. Besides, maybe Simba will find a girlfriend and pack his bags and follow her home” snickered Coco. Puffy thought about it for a moment and ran up to Coco and hugged her - “Coco you are so cleaver!”
Puffy picked up his stuffie and followed Coco outside to the back road and there sitting by the back gate was a truck with a huge red ribbon on top of it. The driver was trying to make a cell phone call, but where we live, there aren't any providers so needless to say, he wasn't getting any reception.
“Can we help you?” asked Puffy.
“Oh hi” said the driver. “I'm looking for Coco Rose because I have a delivery but can't seem to find the address. “I'm Coco Rose! What do you have for me?” “Please sign here and I will be happy to off the delivery if you can point out how to get onto your property.” “Just go around the corner and turn left and follow the road. We are the first house on the left hand side about ¼ a mile down the road. We will meet you there.” Coco and Puffy take off across the back of the property and wait for the truck to arrive. “I wonder what's in the truck” says Coco.
The sound of the truck struggling to come up the dirt road was heard and Coco and Puffy ran to the gate. The driver backed the truck up the drive way, climbed out of the cab, walked around to the back of the truck and threw open the doors. Coco's eyes almost fell out of her head as she saw boxes and boxes of milk bones and other types of doggy treats loaded in the back. Also in the back, sitting on one of the boxes with a cookie in his mouth was Hobo, Coco's faithful boyfriend.
“Hobo! What a wonderful surprise! I was wondering why I couldn't get a hold of you. Hop out of there and bring me a cookie.” Hobo slowly stood up and stretched. “Man, riding on boxes over a dirt road sure isn't comfortable, but I did it all for you Coco. Are you surprised?” he asked as he jumped to the ground.
“Oh Hobo, you're the best” Coco says as she takes the cookie from him and starts to eat it. “Come on, you can help us get ready for the party because the rest of the guests should be here any time now.“
The delivery man unloads the goods next to the tents that were already set up and quickly leaves. Hobo looks around and sees a large shed marked “Nail clipping, ear cleaning and anal glands express area” that had a combination security padlock attached to the opening. Hobo shakes his head and looks at Coco and Puffy - “Nail clipping, ear cleaning and anal glands express area”! I don't think that will be very popular here. And why is it locked? No one is going to even go into to it.” he says. Coco snickers and tells him that she made a promise to Ebby that she could have her very own MEATZ tent and didn't want everyone else to feel left out so she labeled this shed as such so everyone would leave it alone. The only one besides Puffy and I who has the combination to the door is Ebby. Hobo laughs and tells Coco that she is one smart pup, and of course Coco agreed with him.
Just as the three of them start to take in the rest of the party arrangements a line of Hummer limousines was spotted headed towards the property. The lead limousine's sun roof was open and several dogs were spotted waving. There was Zaidie, Luna, Milo, Pookie, Zoe, Frizzy, Tiberius, Reilly, Bailey, and Walker shoving for a good spot. Finally Zaidie barked for the others to sit back down and they did, being good pups although we could all hear Zoe barking her displeasure. There must have been more than 30 big stretch limousines making their way here. When the first limousine arrived, the door opened and out came a bunch of pups ready to PARTY. Zaidie explained that his fleet of airplanes were currently in service so he decided to use his new line of limos instead, and by the looks to the happy faces on the pups as they exited the limo they must have had a wonderful trip.
Hershey and Winkie came tumbling out of the limo each were chomping on a Milk Bone and didn't see the step that they missed. “Oops” mumbled Winkie as he picked up his Milk Bone and dusted it off. “Hi Coco, we're ready to PARTY” said Hershey. Coco ran up to each and planted a kiss on their snout and quickly took a bite of each of their Milk Bones. “Um, yummy” she said as she welcomed them to the party.
By now, there was a steady stream of limos arriving and dropping off guests. Finley and Whitley were in the second limo as it was filled with Texas BBQ sauce and MEATZ that they had brought along for the party. The smells were wonderful and many pups went running over to them to see if they could get a sample. Coco couldn't help but notice the pool ball that was also in the limo so she told Finley and Whitley that there was a pool set up for them to play with that had lots of balls in it for their enjoyment. We have been having nice sunny days so playing around in the swimming pool might be something lots of pups might enjoy. The pool was set up in a nice sunny area so the water wouldn't be too cold. Angel wanted to know if Finley and Whitley brought any of their wonderful Tawdry Terrier nail polish with them because she wanted to have her nails painted. Biscotte also wanted her nails painted: I decided I too would like to have nice sparkly nails also, so we all walked over to the tent and I had the Puppy Luv nail polish applied while Hobo went and got me another chicken leg to much on.
Flicka, Charlie, Cleo and Ursula, were exiting the next limo and were in a hot debate over who was going to eat the most bacon. Apparently there was a small wager going on and the looser had to catch a squirrel. I don't know about you pups, but I sure want a front row seat when they all start chasing squirrels. You know these pups are from over seas so I really don't know who has the best squirrel catching ability but I supposed we will know the answer to this after today. Of course, seeing as how there is lots of MEATZ and the bet relies on how much bacon they can eat, it would be very surprised if any they can even move away from the table let alone chase and catch a squirrel after wards.
Like the last time, Redford, Cooper, Mick, Nina and the rest of their pack arrived with Redford driving a large 4 wheel ATV. Redford had on his DOOGLES and looked rather like a “bad boy” if you know what I mean. I sure there were lots of female pups who were going to be following him around trying to get some attention from him. Cooper was complaining that Redford hit every pothole in the road trying to toss him off the ATV. Fursibblings can be very entertaining but most standing around them were asking if they could go for rides on the ATV. Redford being a really nice pup said he would be happy to accommodate each AFTER he had something to eat.
There came a 18 wheel truck down the road blasting his horn as he made his way past the limos. In the passenger seat was Mazy, Puffy's date. She was helped down from the cab of the truck and the driver went around to the back and let out seven more cows. Now we had 9 LIVE cows roaming around with lots of hungry dogs circling around them. Coco and Puffy looked at one another and said – “How are we going to get them onto the BBQ grill?” “I don't know because I never had LIVE cows before. Maybe one of the other pups will know how to take care of them.” Just as Coco and Puffy were getting ready to go around and greet Mazy they both looked up and saw the local Coyote standing out at the back fence. “Puffy, I have a great idea, please go get Demon, Walker, Buddy, Frank, Burt and any other larger size pup you can find and bring them over here, oh yeah, and include Harrod in the mix because that pup isn't afraid of anything” said Coco. When the requested pups assembled around Coco, she whispered what she had in mind and asked them to come with her as she spoke with the coyote. Walking with great care, Coco lead the way over to the fence and stood a good distance from the coyote. She then said something to it while the others stood watch behind her. Those who were not part of the group over by the coyote watched and wondered what was being said. Suddenly, the Coyote took off running but stopped shortly after wards and howled. Coco and the other pups came running back to Puffy and told him to gather up all the pups and kitties and bring them into the house and garage and to shut the doors.
Once everyone was inside a loud commotion could be heard outside. Within five minutes it was once again quite so Coco opened the doors and stuck her head out. There by the BBQ were 8 dressed cows waiting for the BBQ and the Coyote was gone. Apparently Coco gave one of the cows to the hungry Coyote in exchange for him dressing the live cows.
With that taken care of, the pups and kitties were again allowed outside to join in the celebration. At the “Nail clipping, ear cleaning and anal glands express” shed, the door flew open and there stood Ebby with lots of Texas BBQ sauce smeared on her face. “Hey what's going on out here” she asked. Someone explained what had just occurred and started towards the shed. Suddenly it dawned on Ebby what she had just done so she quickly scooted on the ground wiping her behind in the dirt. “Stays on back” barked Ebby – "me glands are really full” and with that, she hurried back inside and slammed the door shut and locking it after her before any one could discover she had a secret stash of MEATZ and treats – BOL, BOL.
We were getting quite a turn out for the party and Coco was prancing around in her new party dress being careful not to get BBQ sauce on it. Ali came over and modeled her pretty new red dress for Coco and she looked really beautiful. Tinker Bell, Halo and Shyla the chihuahuas from California were also decked out in party dresses. Most of the pups choose not to dress up as they were there to get their fill of MEATZ and didn't want to be bothered with clothes. Mazy came over and showed off her Tawdry Terrier nails for all to admire. Puffy whispered into Mazy's ear and then put a pretty new collar around her neck, it was pink with red hearts on it. I don't know if he was blushing but I can tell you his paws were shaking – BOL, BOL. Mazy thanked him for the gift and gave him a kiss, and that did make him blush!
Ali asked Coco if she figured out who kissed her at the New Years eve party but Coco shook her head “no” and told Ali that it was way to dark that night and that she didn't have a clue but who ever it was sure was a good kisser! She then asked if Coco had seen Charlie and when Coco told her she had seen him headed to the rib tent, Ali took off after him.
The Valentines day party was going full blast now with a fierce game of Pin the biting dog on SAY Media's behind when Anya came running over to give the news that SAY Media had issued a new bulletin indicating that they have found a partner to take over the Community pages on the site so it was no longer closing down. The pups and kitties were joyous but once the barking and purring stopped many were wondering what that really meant. It could be good news, but then too, it could be bad, but for now, there was a party and everyone wanted to have fun so they pushed the business with SAY Media off to the side and went about enjoying themselves.
Krickette, Tiki, Colossus, Ceeley, Walker, Orry and Molly were chowing down at the sausage tent along with Thunder, Finn, Pepper, Teddy, Baron, Austin and Doo. Actually there were so many pups in that tent, that it was hard to see who was actually there, except for Afro Ken because his hair was bopping up and down as he walked. Hobo offered to go get Coco a sausage but she opted for some more chicken instead so they left and moved on to where the chickens were being roasted. Good ole Hobo snagged another chicken leg for Coco and she ate it in no time flat. “Ah, just what I needed” said Coco as she wiped her paws against her snout. Scooter, Misty, Cutter and Pepper came over and said they were having a great time. Scooter was looking around thinking about who he would feature on his next GAME SHOW HOST so everyone better be careful – BOL, BOL.
Stella Marie and Halo were seen jockeying over a huge BBQ rib. It looked like both would soon be completely covered in the sauce as they were making quite a mess but having fun so no one bothered to intervene It was just as Halo got the complete bone in her mouth that Reanan had the bad luck of coming by because she too got splattered in sauce. Not to worry though because Monnie, Lexi and Roscoe came to her rescue and started licking it off of her. Nothing like getting a BBQ sauce message.
Abby, Lucian, Frank, Joey, Buddha and Mia were sitting over by the pool watching Whitley, Finley and Zaidie play in the water. Huey wanted to play too so he jumped into the water making quite a splash. Crazy Luna was over there also trying to get Zaidie to notice her. She's has had quite a crush on the Z-pup for ages so maybe this Valentines day she will get lucky. One never knows where Cupid’s arrow will strike. We were happy to see Kelly having a great time running around the pool barking at everyone. She is going to grow up to be a beautiful pup if you ask me. Cinnamon, Grunt, Otis, Sammy and Chloe were asking Whitley and Finley how to set up BLOGS for themselves. Everyone by now knows these two are the Blog queens and if you have any questions they are more than happy to help. I'm betting that their services are going to be in demand after they get out of the pool.
Toto, Chrystal, Jethro, Harvey, Barney, Quincy, Beanie and Bacon were seen picking turkey feathers out of their mouths. I'm guessing that one of them managed to catch a wild turkey someplace before he, or she, joined the party. I sure wish I could have tasted some wild turkey but I got there too late as there wasn't anything left except for the feathers.
Milton, Zane, Diego, Quigley, Smiley, Dodger, Sniffers, Orlando, Rudy and Jack Freckles were sniffing about too bad they weren't paying that much attention to what it was that they were sniffing because it turned out to be a baby skunk. Momma skunk came running out from the hole and let them know how displeased she was with them messing with her baby. Everyone managed to escape momma skunks wrath except for poor ole Cooper Allan who had to sit by himself for a bit until my momma came out and gave him a bath in some stuff that takes the stink off of him – BOL.
Ella was laying around with Buddy talking about their respective humans. Ella was chewing on a morrow bone from one of the cows and Buddy was snacking on a nice thick steak. Both look very happy and truth be told, like they were ready for a nap – BOL. And speaking of naps, lots of the visiting kitties were laying about, basking in the warm New Mexico sun. They were probably dreaming about all the chipmunks that they caught. I personally hope they managed to catch some mice too.
And speaking of naps, I could use one now so if you will excuse me I have to go.
NOTE: Coco and Puff's mom here – with the announcement that the Community pages might be saved, I kind of lost interest in doing this party. Yes, I know it was planned ahead of time but I actually wrote the Memorial story first and was looking forward to that one. Now, things are once again up in the air, so to speak, and I can't really get into this story. My mind can't seem to focus so I'm going to post this story “as is” and wish you all a very Happy Valentines day.
Note 2 – I'm unable to do the instant links to every pup mentioned because I am out of internet time (we do live in a rural area and don't have high speed internet due to the cost), so please forgive me for leaving everyone wondering if the pup mentioned is them. I also couldn't really mention any of the kitties because I had closed my Catster accounts so there went all the kitties we had as pals.
We love you all!

Attention pals! Due to the number of pals that are packing their bags and headed to new homes I have decided to follow suit and close up shop before March 2nd. Therefore, the Memorial for Dogster/Catster will be held on Saturday, February 22nd. This will give pals a chance to leave any comments they might have to the Dogster/Catster team and SAY Media. Hope to see you all there as we will have a plenty of MEATZ, email and blog address exchanges, etc.
Hugs and kisses,

Here is the instant link to Demon Flash Bandit's blog. His secretary didn't type the address correctly and when we tried to put this instant link on his comment section we got Error 3 messages.
And speaking of error messages, we are getting both the error 3 and error 4 messages when we try to leave messages for our pals - I wonder if I should sent the Watchdog or Techno pup a message complaining about them - I suspect not, as they are probably too busy wondering if Say Media is going to keep them around. Remember this whole thing with Say Media affects them too. I for one adore both the Watchdog and Techno pup as they have both been very helpful to momma when she has done so very stupid stuff - BOL, BOL
