Hi pals,

Since I am laid up with sore paws and gums I thought I would use this time to tell you what has been going on in New Mexico today.

The electrician had daddy over-night express a part that he said he needed in order to continue on with the job. Daddy had to go to town but his assistant who is helping him do the inside framing was there and he signed for the part when FedEx delivered it. The electrician saw the FedEx truck and came over and took the package from daddy’s helper and then disappeared. When daddy got back from town the electrician had not done what he was supposed to have done stating that he was still waiting for the part to arrive. Daddy’s assistant took him aside and told him what had happened so daddy and Chopper (his assistant), went looking for the missing package/part. Daddy found it hidden in the garage and when daddy confronted the electrician he denied having anything to do with it. Daddy let the electrician finish the day and then told him to pack up his tools and leave. Yup, the electrician has been fired. This is actually kind of bad timing because tomorrow the code enforcer is coming out to sign off the first step of the electric work so things might not go too well.

When momma spoke with daddy tonight he told her that the electrician has been calling him all day long and leaving him voice mails on his phone. Something tells me this guy isn’t too stable and I hope he doesn’t cause any more problems for daddy but I bet this isn’t the last we hear from him.

The monsoon rains have hit where daddy is and his trailer is leaking – BOL. Yup, the ole homestead leaks like crazy. Daddy had to buy a tarp and put it over the trailer in order to keep the water out. And since the road and driveway have not been leveled or graveled all of the dirt is turning into huge mud puddles. Daddy needed some more 2x4’s to finish the framing of the house but Home Depot informed him that they would not be able to make a delivery if it is raining. Without the 2x4’s daddy and Chopper can’t finish the framing. Daddy told momma that he has never seen rain fall like it did last night. He says momma is in for a BIG surprise when she moves to New Mexico shortly – BOL, BOL. Momma is already planning for Puffy and my bathroom needs as she bought two potty pads that are washable so she won’t have to rely on having a stack of disposable wee-wee pads at all times. Of course now all she has to do is convince Puffy and I to use them – BOL. I bet the first night we experience monsoon rains or freezing temperatures we will be more than happy to use the wee-wee pads.

Momma continues with the packing and tomorrow she is going to move some of the many boxes out to the garage because she is getting upset with seeing them stacked all over the house.

Oh, and before I forget, daddy so nicely informed momma that she might have to drive a U-haul truck to New Mexico with two very upset and vocal cats letting her know of their displeasure – BOL, BOL. Puffy and I will be in another U-haul truck with daddy and he will be towing momma’s car. I’m pretty certain daddy was laughing when he told momma this but unfortunately he wasn’t joking. – BOL, BOL.

Anyhow, I think I’ll turn over onto my back and wave my little paws in the air to get momma over here to rub my belly. I’m planning on using the sore paws and gums for lots of extra belly rubs and treats.

Hugs and kisses,

Coco Rose

I'm glad your dad fired that electrician, but I'm sorry there are so many problems. Monsoons....does not sound good. I never realized that New Mexico had such lousy weather.

Sorry to hear about all the problems, but daddy was right to fire the electrician. Paws crossed things start to go much more smoothly for your daddy.
