Hi pals,
Your prayers for my daddy to get to New Mexico safely worked. He left our house in California at 5:30AM and arrived at our property in New Mexico around 7:00PM. He was tired and worn out but happily all in one piece. Apparently while driving through Flagstaff there was a rain storm and the U-Haul truck being completely loaded was not handling very well on the slick roads. Before daddy headed to our property he stopped by the Gallup train station and was very relieved to see his truck was still there. He was worried that it might have been towed away or stolen as it had been parked there for two weeks.
Today when momma talked to daddy on the speaker phone he informed her that there was a big thunderstorm last night with lots of rain and lightning and that trailer roof had leaks all over – BOL, BOL. I really don’t care about the trailer roof leak because lets face it, I’m not going to have to live in it, but I am concerned about the lightning and thunderstorms that daddy talked about. I don’t like loud BOOMS and CRACKS so this isn’t good news for me. Momma got out my thunder shirt but it’s been too hot here for her to put it on me to get used to it.
For those of you who have been saying I need to make sure all of our stuffies aren’t packed away – it’s too late. Right now Puffy and my toy basket only has (sniff, sniff) six stuffies. It’s terrible because momma has been using our stuffies in boxes that have fragile items in them for extra cushioning. Isn’t it sad how our stuffie stash went from 85 stuffies down to six?
“COCO ROSE! STOP IT! You are being deceptive here. Why don’t you inform your pals that you and Puffy each got a new stuffie yesterday?”
“Because Puffy claimed BOTH stuffies and I was left with NOTHING!”
“That’s only because YOU let him get away with that behavior even after I took one of the stuffies away from him and gave it back to you. He saw that you weren’t playing with it so he re-claimed it and what did you do?”
“Um, I took his cookies and ate them and I must say they were very tasty!”
“Okay – now stop complaining.”
“Sure momma…Don’t you have some more packing to do? I need to finish my diary.”
Anyhow pals, I feel robbed no matter what momma says. My toy basket is almost empty. How are Puffy and I supposed to survive without lots of stuffies?
I need to go take a nap and dream about all the stuffies I used to have…

Aw, poor Coco! All your stuffies being used to keep ornaments and such in place? Don't worry, when you get to your big farm you can help your Mummy unpack all your stuffies! And hey - Puffy and you got a new stuffie each yesterday - that's more than I got! Leas' you gots sum stuffies. I's not 'lowed to has stuffies. You should have had your humans move to Michigan. We don't have a lot of thunderstorms here, and it sounds like the winters (at least in southeast MI) are milder than the ones in New Mexico. I know you will be happy with your new house, and I'm sure you'll get used to all the new things. Coco and Puffy .. when is your move date ?? we are still waiting to see photos of your new home .. your mommy and daddy have been so busy .. i bet they are so tired.. tell mommy to rest and play on dogster.. we have to keep up with you both ! glad that Daddy made it to New Mexico in one piece, you will get to play with your stuffies once you all get settled in to your new house.
