Daddy called and told momma the garage/workshop is finally up and he now has a place where he can lock up all the tools he bought. Tomorrow the inspector will be coming out to our place to do an inspection on the septic tank installation. There will be several more inspections that need to be done before they will allow anyone to move into the house. If the inspectors catch you living in the house before it is signed off they can fine you and delay any further inspections needed so daddy has to be very careful to follow all rules.
The builders have started work on the house now and hopefully they will get that done soon. Keep in mind that the house will only be a shell and that momma and daddy will be doing almost everything else, and let me remind you that momma is dreading this.
All day long momma is still busy packing up our California house and it’s a good thing too because daddy says he hopes we are all moved out by the end of August.
Today the nasty ants invaded the sewing room and got all over MY kibble. This always happens when it rains or gets really hot and right now it is hot. Momma tried spraying with an organic insect spray but it didn’t stop the ants at all so in desperation she finally used RAID so no we have to get off the computer and go into the big bedroom where she didn’t spray.
Hugs and kisses,
Wow, Coco, it's hard to believe that soon you'll be saying, Next month we move!" Your daddy has done a pawsome job getting evfurrything ready. I suppose the ants will just take ovfur your old house once your mommy's not there to spray them. BOL!!!
Woofs, seems like a lotta work and worry fur the peoples to build a new house and move. Be glad you are pups and not peoples!
Well at least you are on the big bed for the evening.
I would suggest a very slow unpacking of California to the new homestead. This may allow most of the hard work to be done by Daddy. Well you know, besides what you have to supervise. BOL.
Woo Hoo fur the garage/shop!
Yeah, like Misty says, very slow unpacking. And maybe you pups and your mom can volunteer to go to town for that package of screws or nails that your Daddy needs. And then you can take your time, while he works. ;-)
This is very exciting! Can't believe how quickly the time is going and soon you will be New Mexico bound!
I'm glad the workshop/garage is up. It sounds like a lot of WORK. I'm glad it isn't my humans because it sounds like the humans would be annoying me by disturbing my naps.LOL It is exciting though, and I'm sure you are happy about all the new sights and smells.
Yipee! The workshop is finished! Yes, those inspectors are soemthing else! Sorry about the ants, yes, they don't like rain and tend to go where it is dry.
Moving is a lot of work on it's own. Never the less building a house. I know our current house was pretty much just a shell and Mom, Grandma, lots of Uncles and other family all helped make it livable. Mom says livable because, Grandma won't let her call it a home until it has the perfect flooring and such.
