05/24/12 Put those hair clippers down

Hi pals,

Yesterday momma was still working on my “haircut”. Every time she tries to shave my legs I jump up on her and give her my big brown eyes and try to tell her that I want her to leave my legs alone. She shaves a little hair off then puts me on the floor but since my haircut isn’t complete, well at least according to her, she tries again later when she thinks I am more relaxed – BOL, BOL.

For those of you who are following the adventure of our New Mexico home build, the two steel buildings arrived yesterday and so did the building erectors, thankfully, because had the building erectors failed to show up daddy didn’t know how the buildings would have been off-loaded from the delivery truck. It wasn’t easy getting everything off the truck because one bundle weighed over 2000 pounds and had to be broken down before it could be taken off.

After all was off-loaded the building erectors informed daddy that they don’t work on Friday and since Monday is a holiday they will not be back to our property until Tuesday, that leaves daddy with four days of down time. They promised they would start doing the pads next week along with everything else that needs to be done. They estimate it will take three weeks to get the buildings up – we shall see.

After the buildings get erected daddy will come back home and load up the 187 boxes that contain momma’s kitchen and take them back to New Mexico with him so he can start the assembly (keep your paws crossed that he does them right and doesn’t mess anything up).

When all inspections are signed off and the buildings are approved for occupancy then daddy will come back and get momma and the rest of the family. Daddy has already told momma that she is going to drive her car to New Mexico with the kitties in it. I’m pretty certain Puffy and I are going to get to ride in the truck with daddy so we don’t have to listen to Simba and Bay-Ling holler the whole trip because they hate being caged and riding in the car. Momma says this is going to be very stressful and she is not looking forward to it.

Keep in mind that when we move to New Mexico the house will not be a completed home as the flooring, walls and everything else will still have to be done by both momma and daddy and I hope they don’t get into too many disagreements. Daddy is not a very patient person and tends to be very short tempered at times. I for one can already see trouble coming. If it gets too bad I may have to pack all my cookies and go hide out at Hobo’s place until everything is finished. I’m sure Hobo won’t mind if I bring Puffy and all of our stuffies with me.

Hugs and kisses,

Coco Rose

Oh boy! Even though I hope it doesn't get to stressful, I hope you get to come and live with us for a while. But, you better not bring any stuffies with squeekers in them because, I chew them out in about 3 seconds. You can bring all of your cookies though.

I think your momma would miss you very much though.

Thanks for the NM saga update..... we can see alot of differences in opinion in your Momma's future....If Hobo is busy, you can always come visit me....Puffy too! Us Pups will learn about gardening this summer! Gma didn't think it was too COOL yesterday, when I dug up some Spuds, she had just planted.

I also had to do that, to check to see, if the corn was really in the ground! I hung in there many hours.....Today, after 3 hrs... I begged and pleaded to go inside! I did! Has been Cool so planting has been easier on Gma and Gpa. Gpa has really done alot of stuff for Gma and with Gma. So, it is truly OUR garden, not Gma's garden........have a Great Memorial Day Weekend!

We're still planting and will have diary tales to tell...kisses,mazy

Coco my Mommy says let your Mommy shave your legs. No need to be difficult she says.

First, hold your ground on the paws trimming. A dog can never have too much fur. I hope everything is going well. I saw on the news that there is a big fire in New Mexico. I hope that it is not anywhere near where your Daddy is staying.

Hi pals,

I don't like being groomed but I have gotten "nicer" about it as I no longer try to bite the hand that is grooming me - BOL, BOL. All the groomers say I'm such a nice pup and that they love grooming me because I don’t give them any problems but when momma tries to save money by doing me herself I turn into a monster (or so she claims). Momma sometimes wonders if the groomers say nice things about me so they get a good tip – BOL, BOL

Yes, there is a huge fire burning out of control and it is the windy season right now with strong gusts of wind aiding the flames. I'm not sure how close this fire is to where daddy is as it is burning in the Gila national forest and our property boarders’ one of the many national forests but I don't know which one it is. Daddy says it is smoky right now but he thought the smoke was coming from the Arizona fire as we are close to their boarder. 12 homes have been lost already and there is no containment in sight. Our development does have its own fire department and truck but since we are in the middle of dense forest it could easily go up in flames.
