It was an over cast and windy Sunday afternoon here so when momma decided it was time for a nap of course Puffy and I went running to the big bed thinking we would get to take one with her. I brought my half eaten cookie with me and Puffy had one of his stuffies.
Momma put us both up on the big bed and I dropped my cookie down on the quilt and laid down next to it. Puffy started playing with his stuffie and got too close to my cookie so I jumped up, growled and snapped at him. Momma saw the whole thing and immediately placed me on my side like Cesar Millan does on his show and then she took my cookie and put it up on the dresser where I couldn't get to it.
After that I would not settle down as I was looking all over for MY cookie. Puffy was still playing with his stuffie and momma was getting upset because she wanted to take a nap but we wouldn't settle down.
So the next thing I know momma put me back on the floor, gave me back my cookie and I went running back into the sewing room and got up on the daybed and Puffy was right behind me with his stuffie because he too was evicted off the big bed.
Momma came to the sewing room and put the baby gate across the door and then she went back to the big bed and took a nap without Puffy and me. Of course Puffy and I had a barking fit about this but momma couldn't hear us because she took off her bionic ears for her nap, but daddy was in the living room and our barking was preventing him from taking his siesta on the sofa - BOL, BOL
So, daddy got up, closed the door to the big bedroom but let us out of the sewing room so we could wonder around in the house. The first place we went running to was the closed bedroom door. "LET US IN" we both hollered but the door stayed closed. Momma was in the big bedroom for well over two hours without us!!!! When she finally came out, Puffy and I went running to her all excited to see her again, but do you know what momma said?
I'll tell you!
"It was nice sleeping without dogs for a change".
I can only attribute this crazy statement to the fact that she didn't have full control of her mental capacity at that moment. How could she possibly like NOT sleeping with Puffy and me?
Hugs and kisses,
Coco Rose
OMD, Coco Rose, I'm sure you're right! Your mommy couldn't have meant what she said! Hoomans can't sleep without us! How would they know where to put their knees?? OMD! How could she think that let alone say it? I agree with Hershey! My Mom loves sleeping with me - an extra heater she calls me.
