My Fifth Barkday!

I just wanted to thank all my pals for helping me celebrate my 5th Barkday! I had a wonderful day, i played outside and kept the ornery critters away from my fence. Mom made me my Peanut butter and carrot cupcake with cottage cheese frosting...Yummy! Thank you all for the pressies and pmails, you are all the best pals i could ask for!

I hope you all had a wonderful Easter weekend and thanks for all the eggs, too! Did i mention that eggs give me terrible gas.....BOL....Ppppphhhhhttttt!!!!

Fun in the Garden!

Since growing season is now over, i decided to help dad till up the last of the fall garden. I take my digging skills very seriously! I started by digging with my paws and then i use my nose to get even deeper. I enjoyed myself to the fullest and if you look at my main picture, you can definately see how much!!

It's also that time of year for the annual Corgi-Aid online auction! There are lots of cool items being offered and the money goes to a great cause, CorgiAid! Mom has been looking at all the neat stuff but there was one item she was eyeing that i'm really hoping she doesn't win...it's on page 17 and it's some kind of funny looking furry christmas costume that i really DON'T think will fit me!!!!

My encounter with an Armadillo!

The other day mom was taking me for a walk in the pasture...not the one with the new baby calves, cuz the momma cows don't seem to like me around their new calves. **Shrugs**. I started barking my head off at something digging around the fence line. Mom took me over towards it to see what it was, there was dirt flying and then it popped up out of it's hole and looked at us. It was a good sized Armadillo and it was trying to dig under our fence. I went after it but it jumped up and went into it's hole and started digging like crazy. Mom called me off of it and i begrudgingly came back to her. I'm sure that thing doesn't belong on MY farm!! I know i could of taken that thing...Mom always has to be a spoil sport...

All By Myself!

Well pals, the other day Mom and Dad went to Springfield to do some shopping WITHOUT me and left me all alone!!! They made a trip to Bass Pro Shops...i have a really nice bed that came from there... and they DID NOT bring me back anything...not even a crumb!!! That's not the worst part, get this....they came home smelling like another DOG! Can you believe that?!?! Apparently they visited my pal Dobie...again without me.... and probably gave him all my treats!!!!! **Grumbles** I think they deserve some sort of punishment for neglecting me! Don't you all agree?!?

Fun at the Fair......kinda

Well pals, i spent three days at a fair and cattle show recently and it was a scorcher!! We bring large fans for the cattle and i spent most of my time laying in the direct breeze of them. I've been to alot of these events and am used to being oohed and aahed over, but this time one of the calves mom and dad brought was cutting in on my action!!! Long story short....This calfs momma had twins and decided she didn't like this one, so mom had to take it and put it on a bottle and take care of it. Anyways, some nine year old boy wanted to show the calf at this fair, so mom halter broke the calf and brought it with the rest of our show cattle.

It turns out that everyone that walked by wanted to pet the calf and have their pictures taken with her! What's up with that?!?!? What about ME? I'm cute and cuddly and most people can't resist me!!!! Sure, i got some attention....but nothing like i'm used to getting!!! I sure hope that darn attention hog of a calf stays home for the next show!!!!! ***Stomps Off***

Pumpkin Head?!?!

Well pals, it's that time of year again...I got my annual summer trim yesterday cuz it's already getting very hot and steamy outside! Mom told the groomer to leave a little hair around my ears cuz they get irritated if trimmed too short! I guess she didn't quite understand cuz when mom came to pick me up i still had quite a bit of hair around my head still...kinda like a lions mane. Mom didn't think it looked too bad, so she brought me home and the first thing dad did was start laughing and called me a pumpkin head! How Rude! I didn't think that was the least bit funny!!!! **Hmpppffff....stomps off**

A rollin' good time!

We've sure had ALOT of rain this spring, which means lots of mud for me to play in.....Yeah!!! I've had my share of towelings off these past few weeks since i tend to pick up lots of moisture on my lowriding belly and i've had my paws toweled off so many times it's a wonder i have any fur left on them....mom was hoping..BOL!!

We finally had a sunny day today, so i got to play outside most of the day! I came back in and went through the foot and belly toweling regiment and proceeded to trot in the house and perched myself on my favorite recliner so i can look out the window! That's when mom noticed i still had alot of black stuff on my chest and all over the sides of my face. She figured i got mud all over me again and went and got a towel! She called me to her so she could get it off and that's when she noticed the stench!!!! It seems i decided to smear myself with some kind of nasty, stinky, sticky, black tarry substance. Mom says it can't be a cowpie cuz this time of year they are distinctly green! She figures it was some long dead, putrid thing that i found...those are my favorite kind :))....I'll never tell ;) Well, we all know what that means.....the dreaded B-A-T-H!! Not only did i have to endure a bath, they had the nerve to give me a bum trim too....the humiliation!!!

Guess i'll just have to wait till tomorrow to go outside and see what other lovely scents i can find to make myself smell like a dog again!!

What the ?##%@?

Well pals, my day started with mom unceremoniously dropping me off at some new business not too far from our place. It had a picture of some frilly poodle in a bathtub with bubbles. I'm thinking i don't like the looks of this place. I won't go into the gory details of what i was subjected to, let's just say i'd like to forget all about it. Mom came back in about an hour and picked me up...she mentioned that i smelled alot better now...Hmphhhh...i thought i smelled just fine, thank you!!! I'm stuck inside the house right now but i will eventually get to go outside and i'm gonna do my darndest to get my old smell back. I think i'll take a well deserved nap now and think of ways to drive that nasty business out of town....way, way, way away from me!!!!

Snow Day!

I'm so excited...We finally had our first snow of the winter...Yay!! It was about 4 inches, just enough for me to have fun in! I was so excited to play in it this morning, mom couldn't get me to come in at all...i was having waaaaay too much fun! I plow the snow with my nose cuz i know there is some great stuff buried under that white fluffy stuff!! One of the neighbors dogs, Jenny, came over and played with me, we had a blast!! We ran and chased each other and tumbled around in the snow! Mom thinks i'm gonna be one pooped out puppy tonight...in fact, i'm resting at her feet while dictating my diary!!
The only bad part was when mom had to remove all the ice danglies off me...you know...those ice balls that get stuck in long fur like mine! I even had a few the size of golf balls on my chest...that's what happens to us lowriders when we run through the snow!! I had a bunch of mini danglies in the long hair on my legs and feet, too!

Oh yeah, i forgot to mention that i got my bum trimmed again...i don't know why she insists i tell all my pals that....**Sheesh**
